Is there a TSB for these squeaky leaf springs yet?

    I really don't care about the squeeking but it's unbelievably embarassing for Toyota, the only reason why I want them to fix it is for them to own up to their mistake. They just deny everything, and say it's a design feature lol. Like the windshield that cracks every two seconds.

    I took my 2016 trd off road to the dealer yesterday.
    According to my Service Manager the springs are the problem, Toyota used a different manufacture for the 3 Gen. Sean the manger said it can take six to eight weeks for TSB.
    Which is not acceptable...
    I called Toyota and filed my complaint.
    I did not spend 40K plus for this issue
    Any other owners please file a complaint...
    We are stronger in numbers!!!!

    Another fix is to order new silencer pads(aftermarket not toyota) and replace between each leaf. Did that on my 2014 and had bo issues for about a year after. Aposed to grease every couple weeks.

    I don't even have my truck yet, but I'm pissed on the behalf of you guys.
    Makes me wonder if I'm making a right choice with this truck, or maybe I shouldn't have joined the forum heh..

    I filed a complaint yesterday with corporate. It's sad they're aware of the issue and don't have a fix for it. Also taking the stance of environmental conditions is pure bullshit. We will see what the case manager will have to say about it when they call.

    I talked with my Service Manager today in Phoenix.
    "We know we have a problem, 2016 models used a different Spring Mfg."
    "As a dealer we have to wait for the recall".
    "Which could be eight to twelve weeks!
    Does anyone have more information on this recall?
    Are there any other Tacoma owners TIRED OF THIS SPRING SQUEAK?
    My Off Road starting squeaking after the first dirt muddy forest road with 1K.
    WE ARE STRONGER IN NUMBERS!!!
    IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING SIMILAR ISSUES PLEASE CALL TOYOTA!!!
    I have owned three Tacoma's prior, I am so disappointed with Toyota!!!!!!!!

    Yea... White lithium grease last me about a day too..

    PB blastr lasted a little longer but still less than a week....

    Now i just got that T9 boeshield and I'm hoping that last longer than the above...

    All my dealership Will do is white lithium grease... And they wanna keep my truck 2 hours or more each time they grease them....

    The dealership is an hour away... The closest... Not worth 2 hours driving and 2 hours plus waiting just for them to spray grease in the springs.

    I let them once... Went back and asked for a better solution but they said thats all they can do.

    My cousins 2015 taco squeaks as well.. But my 2016 squeaks louder.. Crazy.

    This is my only complaint on the truck but it's quite annoying.

    I've complained to corporate. Just had my 3rd visit to the dealership. They've had a few other people there with the issue. The dealership needs to contact Toyota to see what they wanna do. I asked if they normally replace the leaf springs. He said that for one of em they did. For the others, they tried to make repairs. Now I just wait with the squeak of death. Annoying and embarrassing, but at least they've acknowledged the problem instead of washing my truck to temporarily get rid of it.

    Link to where we can do this? My squeaking was really really bad after taking it out in the dirt/mud. The last time I washed it, I applied power-washer directly on the leaf springs. Still got a bit of a squeak going on, but 90% of it is gone. I've already ordered a new suspension with new leaf packs, but it's still worrisome that we're all having this problem.

    Many of you are exactly where I was... I made 8 trips to the dealer for this issue. The dealer refused to replace them and Toyota wouldn't acknowledge the problem. Told to they could lube them up which wouldnt be a long term fix. After several hours and taking the issue all the way to the senior management I finally got my spring packs replaced. It has been more than 5k miles and so far no squeaks from either leaf pack. A 40k truck should not sound like a 4k truck. Don't settle for less.

    Just thought I'd comment back and say that T9 boeshield has already lasted longer than what the dealership did, or when i used white lith grease or pb blaster.

    Corporate let my dealership know that "There is not currently a resolution at this time." and gave me another case number. "Just keep pressure washing it."

    Call them and tell them you are questioning your purchase decision because of some serious issues you've heard about with online reviews (dont mention this forum). They should know that people are finding out about them and maybe reconsidering.

    plus it would help all of us out that are waiting on TSBs. :)

    There is no link, You are fortunate to set up your own suspension!

    Have less than 500 miles on the PRO, never been off road, squeaky right rear spring noticed a few days ago pulling into a parking garage. To go along with many of the 2016 issues, nothing seems to have been changed for 2017 models.

    I guess we all need to continue calling Toyota and our dealer upper management? So frustrating Toyota knows there is a problem, apparently using the same manufacture on the 2017 PRO?
