Good information. Will have to remember that when I buy my set of OME pack.

So I've been having similar mpg problems with my 4banger as mentioned. Yes a lot of my driving is stop and go, but even on long distance high way driver it only hits 16 when I'm REALLY lucky. I've cleaned the throttle body, the mad, new spark plugs

I replaced the cracked exhaust manifold with a salvage unit for 24$. Also picked up manual 4runner leather seats and console for 60$. They smell like buttholes and need new covers. On a side note, I had noticed my MPG getting worse and lack of power before I replaced the exhaust manifold and P0401 code. Reset the computer and turned the CEL off. Drove it about 60 miles and the light came back on. Replaced EGR tube and EGR valve and gaskets. Only things left are possible vacuum leaks VSV, and EGR modulator. tmp_16665-20161006_151204-1941119788.jpg tmp_16665-20161007_153315913484779.jpg

So... why did you put leather seats in that are trashed?

Because I can put new foam and covers in them for less than the cost of aftermarket seats. And they are Toyota oem products and have lumbar and seat height adjustment. My 60/40 bench was missing the foam on the driver's seat bottom. Kind of like driving around on a wire toilet seat.
Edit: also like having actual cupholders and a console. Stock cupholders in this truck seemed like an afterthought from Toyota.

You left out the EGR temp sensor. Read this recent thread

Okay one more question which direction do they go. There are pressed bushings on one side and the other side has no bushings with the positive and a arrow

Yeah I get about 15 on the freeway. I'm gonna get a new o2 sensor and maybe a new cat and see how that does. If that doesn't help I don't know what the hell im gonna do.

    hi.....
    question
hubby bought me a light bar ( i like the retro look better but cant complain)
anyway its curved and it came with brackets to mount to roof. i dont want to do that. ive looked and look for door mount brackets but everything says 96-02 and 05 and higher. is there something i am missing? was there just a bad door build on 04's or am i just going crazy?
i realize that 1st gens are really interchangable but every ebay oart ive found says either 98-02 or 05 and later.
