Looks like you should have just bought parts and build your own truck.

I am still not a good enough welder to trust myself welding the higher mounting point for the UCA. Also there is a good amount of stuff I did install myself. There is also a bed cage and a through the bed rear suspension that needs to be added.

Wow, nice build, but I am trying to understand how ones goes from a Jetta to a race truck. Was the Jetta stock?

Yeah, the Jetta was my get to work car when I had to commute to work 73mi one way. Before the Jetta, I drove this H3T Alpha:

seeing what you have done to the taco, I was wondering if the Jetta had had been done up. Is the taco now the daily commuter when not racing

It was at first, but considering it will be back in the shop when it comes back you know them 3rd Gen problems lol (beg cage and 16" King 3.0s through the bed problems, as well as 4.88 Nitro Gears) It will probably end up being garaged. I am deciding what I want for a commuter, but it has to be something I won't be tempted to modify lol. Thought about an old VW beetle like a 76 lol Maybe a smart car I can keep stored in the bed of the truck kind of like a Zodiac on a Yacht

    Yes
Just an FYI - you do not have a " higher mounting point for the UCA " that is simply a double shear or coil bucket gusset kit added to your OE coil bucket. The UCA on all kits except for the craziest true race kits still mounts to the OE location.

Okay, I see what you mean. I just looked up (Googler) what you typed and now I see what is there. See, this is why I didn't do the suspension myself lol.

well thats a hell of a truck. maybe someones said this, i haven't read al the comments but, you should linex or do something similar around the lip of the front fender to match the rear OR fender.

I might just do that not you match per say the rear panels, but more to add protection from rocks. I need to see if a can get some fender liners made as well. The panels on the bed will be coming off and will be replaced with panels that match the fenders.

yeah i almost didnt say anything cause i figure you might be matching the rear with a similar flare. either way those couple of inches lowest on the front fender would look so sick blacked out. and would be decent protection using linex or something like that
