Yes as previously stated I didn't see that they where asking for triples. The ones on my truck right now are oem replacements. I am going with 16" Triples.

Ah makes sense, is that a bolt on setup? Im surprised he was running a stock king with it. Granted I think he said he is swapping soon to triples.

Looks bolt on to me. Even the shackle looks to be the stock one... Looks like they just changed out the leaf packs, U-bolts and plates. Maybe @perpetualenigma3 can chime in here.

Yes it's Baja Kits new SUA kit, A 10" King was not my first choice believe me. I wanted 16" King 3.0s triple bypass through the bed with a bed cage, but do to the kit on my truck being a marketing kit, I didn't have a lot of wiggle room. Then I wanted 14" triple bypass, with hoops till I upgraded to a bed cage but then I'd have to find someone willing to add hoops under there bed to buy the 14"s so I made it easy and listen to some advice and kept the OEM replacement just to make it easier to sell once I get the cage installed.

I am looking at something similar to this what do you guys think? Except no remote reservoirs 107717dbed3xc.jpg

From what I was told they wanted majority of the kit to be bolt on to make it more appealing to a broader market, not just the hard core LT guy.

The axle perch would still have to be welded on, right?

Honestly, I couldn't tell you right now since truck is still at Baja Kits getting finished up, and I can't really see in the picture. Maybe someone with more expertise on the matter can chime in or @JT@Bajakits can clarify it for you.

It definetly uses the stock rear hangers and shackles. Similar to the tc and defined kit, which use the stock hangers as well. 14" bypasses would be ideal. I don't see it cycling more than 15". And yes the leaf spring perches will still need to be welded on. But install on a kit like that should take less than 3 hours and just about anyone capable of a decent weld should be able to install it. Far easier install than the dmz kit.

@Coot83 you may want to look into giants link killer kit. It is bolt on and cycles over 19". It will be a much more labor intensive install as you will need to remove all the factory leaf hangers (removing the rivets sucks) but you'd be hard pressed to find a better bolt on setup

I'm not, but I have helped someone install the weld on version. I'm going from the defined kit to a 3 link. Everything is ready to go, just waiting to get my brackets I designed back from the waterjet guy

At this point I am in a toss up doing a bolt in setup similar to the Giant kit and tackling the install or dropping it off at DMZ and let them work their magic... The only thing with the bolt in setup is I prob have to make a cut out in the plates for the frame box to access those bolts.

Looking forward to seeing some more numbers on how much travel can be gotten out of the SUA kit. Looking to get one in January next year with hoops / 14" bypasses. :)

If you have the option and the money to drop it at DMZ, go with this 100%. Tim does amazing work and will treat you right.

The money is in my master's program until end of next year lol. I'm working two jobs right now and can only make it out to the desert twice every three months or so. I got the Baja Kits +2 front kit for a good deal so hopefully I can repeat the savings with the rear setup. We'll see what happens after I get another daily driver though lol. If I had a blank check I'd go with DMZ SUA, DTF 6" race kit and a 4.0 swap with s/c, but I'm waiting for one of those to land on my desk - alright back to researching... for school *willpower* lol

The idea for my truck is for exploring more than mobbing although I'd do both if I could afford it. I'm going with lower cost options in suspension so I can get an arb and lock the rear and a winch / Pelfry hybrid bumper. After I get another daily driver I'd like to start welding again and build some of my own bed cage parts and cage the back, but keep the bed functional. I got pretty decent at stick welding in high school so I'd practice doing some other stuff first. We'll see how it goes though. Definitely looking forward to getting a better ride on desert roads and off road areas where I'm exploring out in the great basin once I get more time to do that kind of stuff again.

This is straight from Baja Kits regarding the SUA kit.

Yes, the spring under is a direct bolt on kit. You can definitely add a aftermarket shackle and then run any additional parts you may like.
