1 was in deland, lady was out feeding her animals and a tree fell on top of her.

 

Yep she lost just about all of her screens. The pool enclosure held up and she lost a ton of roof tiles from the ridge portions of her roof. Surprised about the roof tiles they are the barrel type and pretty darn heavy.

 

Those roof tiles can do some damage if they are tossed around lol

 

Yeah EMS weren't making it out anywhere around 8pm last night I was surprised caused it wasn't really bad out anymore. Was kinda upset cause we had to call 911 then cause my 5 month old son because unresponsive (breathing but limp) and getting hives and struggling for air. They basically said they couldn't leave. Long story short he ended up coming around, we thought he had some sort of allergic reaction. It was scary as hell but even I got in my truck and drove around and it was fine out and lots of cars back on the road, even police at the lights...not sure why they weren't responding.

 

That is scary, glad he's ok!

 

Holy shit man I can't even imagine...I know here if the winds exceed 55mph they won't leave the station. I heard a department in SC that's out on and island completely evacuated their people.

 

Jesus! I have a 5 month old and would have been freaking out. Lesson I take from this is get somewhere safe so they can get medical help if needed. I never thought about the fire department not making rounds. My house is very safe but if my family can't get the help they need then I have to go. Thank god your little boy is ok!

 

sounds like he needs an epi pen, id suggest seeing his pediatrician about it, and always having it around, if that's what he needs also, take note of anything that day he coulda been allergic to

depends... they could've been on another call, the wind couldve been too much (above a certain mph).

Im glad your son is ok, i highly recommend bringing him to his pediatrician and getting a epi pen for him. also avoid the brand epic pen if you can, theres a generic thats a fraction of the cost.

 

Yeah well the fire station was only 2 blocks away and staffed so idk why they couldn't send anyone. The only reason we called 911 was because all the hospitals for children were on the other side of bridges and they block them all off when the wind speed gets like 35-40mph and we figured they would let the ambulance on the bridge instead of us.

Anyway thank God he ended up being ok and we will be doing a blood allergy test this week when he goes in. I love that little boy and we were freaking out. Figures something like that would happen at such a crazy time as a hurricane :/
