Top 4 Dman. Streaky but he can be offensively talented too. His shot blocking and play in the corners will be the biggest assets he brings to the oil.

He went unsigned because he can be very streaky and a bit injury prone due to the way he plays. He's a steal at that price if he stays healthy and the Oilers don't force him into a top 2 role.

 

In this case, the money doesn't bother me much. I see there's a few people all pissy about it. It's one year - plus we unloaded Yak's contract - plus the Oilers have a lot of cap space. So, meh!!
Hopefully he can help. It's definitely that one sore spot for the Oilers yet.

The name was barely vaguely familiar. Likely because he played in cowtown. But I really don't spend a lot of time following other teams - or non-big name players.
