My Eclipse was the same way. 3 tickets in a year, got the Tacoma 2 more tickets. Have had 5 bikes that whole time, 3 of which were/are crotch rockets, never pulled over for speeding.

Those shocks would be leaving a lot of potential droop on the table with Dakars.

With out the shackle flip, but with axle shims and adding the Dakar AAL and removing one of the overloads (these two adjustments basically get you the same ride height as standard Dakars, but more flex and compensate for the added shim height), you can get this out of the Dakars:

extended length: 27.28
collapsed length: 16.34

Crom is getting this with his setup and using these Bilstein rears:
Bilstein RCD/BE5-B110-T5 shocks

It is just what I want in the rear, but I want to do Kings in the rear. The only problem is I can't find any off-the-self King setup that accomplish that much droop. And the stem shock mount limits options, too, as far as custom Kings.

Icon and Fox both have rears that will get close to this much droop. Check Wheeler's site for a starter.

Just FYI, depends what you want to do with it.

With the shackle flip and Dakars, my +/-24" extended length Fox's are about 4" too short. Significant trade in up travel for down travel with the flip kit. I'm not wheeling my rig until the new shocks are installed- mostly due to scheduling conflicts, but also because I want to leave the shocks undamaged & sellable. $150- available in 2 - 3 weeks...

Those Bilsteins look like the ticket, unless you go with A shock relocate kit.

Most of those RR stem- mount Kings go for about $800. You can get custom valves 12" RR Kings for significantly less at DSM. Not stem mount though. However, the cost difference is enough to pay for the BAMF relocate kit. The difference between the two options would be welding costs, but you would end up a really nice setup. Not sure if that is a true statement (mine won't be installed for 2 - 3 weeks), but others on here who have made the switch may chime in.

Ugh, @duncnasty does your roof bar jiggle and clunk as much as mine does? Ive torqued everything down as much as possible and I can hear it bouncing around at low speed. Ended up having to put something in between the relentless mounts and my roof because it was rubbing the paint away!
