Bone stock except bungee cords and husky liners!
Is there any legal concerns with installing LEDs?

Where I'm going with this is people who were putting HIDs into headlamps that weren't designed for them and blinding other drivers.
I'm going from a Mazda with awesome factory HIDs into the Tacoma and concerned and the headlights. Yes small world problems.

and ur not going to blind ppl with hid's because the new tacomas have projectors in the headlights so it will have a nice clean cutoff so it doesn't blast everyone in the face

All sorts of people have them. Me included.

Work great in the high beam slot... Really blinds the piss out of people when you flash them for driving around with their brights on.

Work great in the low beams, too.

Not great or even acceptable in the fog lamps, at least not if you intend to use them as fog lamps, and too much spread upward to use a driving lights, also.

All opinions are based on the h11 opt7s.

Good info on that thread, however:

Thread was primarily directed to 2nd gen Tacomas with reflector style headlights. LEDs on 3rd gens are fine because of the projector style headlight. There is also a cutoff so you don't blind oncoming traffic.

That being said, my OPT7s LEDs are underpowered - especially in the rain.

LEDs will be removed, still looking for a replacement option

    all tore up already
Tested opt7, not impressed. Im running piaa h11 led now and like them, but not perfect. Great look, good spread and output but that color that makes em so nice isnt excellent for visibility. Much higher quality than others ive used in the past though and still fit in the tight area for low beams

Dont waste your money paying for the OPT7 cause it has a name on it. These are the same thing all coming out of the same Chinese facility just companies order in bulk and can have some custom stuff done to make them seem different.
Buy the SAME exact bulb for half the price. I got these for my low beams and fog lights and they are actually rated a little higher at 7600lm for the pair. I have been pleased with them as far as output and everything. it just takes a little time getting use to the white light vs the stock more yellow color.

also that link is LED in a reflector housing. If using in a projector you get none of that crap. Plus if you get extra light scatter when using them in the reflector high beam why would it matter. shouldnt have them on with oncoming traffic anyway

You got any pics of the install? Either these or Morimoto 2Stroke. You have any issues with the ballasts feeding back into the ECU? And killing the truck?
