They must have updated the rear shaft, my 16 has zerks. Crazy.

I never took delivery. After finally test driving a Gen 3 TRD OR 5 minutes after testing a Honda Ridgeline, I realized I didn't like the truck. I bought Ridgeline instead, and have no regrets. Still can't believe I didn't buy another Taco after waiting more than a year to do so. Oh well, if I need to go off road, I have a Rubicon.

Thanks for asking. I won't go into too many details on this forum because I know what will happen, LOL. Keep in mind, I LOVE Taco's, and have owned 2 of them, but the Ridgeline is a better truck for me. Best part about it is my Wife loves it. She has basically claimed it as her own. The good thing about that is I don't have to have a truck to have a truck. I can drive what ever I want now. :)

Is this something I should get them to do before I drive away this Friday?

Have them grease the driveshaft, or you can do it yourself, there are zerk fittings along the driveshaft, the 16s had them front and rear, sounds like the 17 is only in the front. They have been coming dry from the factory.

Hello! Newbie here. Getting rid of my '14 BMW 550i M Sport to get the '17 Cement M/T Pro. I think I am crazy sometimes. I will miss that 445 HP rocket. But I want a truck. And I love the looks of this Pro. I should be getting it this Friday for MSRP - $41,700. So not a great deal, but I think a fair deal. Comes with the the Clear Paint Protection - door package, the Toyo Guard Select, the wheel locks and the USB ports/phone charging options. Have to drive about 2 hours to get it - but I am excited!

Can't wait to get mines. Should I get remote start? I really like the idea because my brother has aftermarket and its awesome for warming up in the winter but I heard the range on the oem pretty much makes them useless. Also the sales man was trying to sell me on the glass breaking sensor. I told him only if I need it for an insurance deductable. Do you guys know if it is necessary for the security system deductible?

2017s and some late 2016s only have 2 zerks on front drive shaft. You have to remove a heat shield (2-12mm bolts) to get to one of them. The rear shafts are sealed. I would ask the dealership to do it during your delivery prep. Mine had 1902 miles on it before I found the "U Joint" thread and watched the Spicer (manufacturers) video on what to look for. Basically you want to see the red grease escape from all 4 blue seals while pumping. Like another poster, I could hear the air escaping before the needle grease squirted out. Apparently this doesn't get done until the first check up at 5000 miles but spicer recommends it at assembly and then periodically per mileage. Just another detail that Texas is missing. I'm still a happy camper with this taco though.

Rugged II Premium Hard Fold Tonneau Cover. It has 2 led lights under it. It is sealed really good all the way around it.

All I can say is the dealer salesman told me it has a range of 100 feet. I read online that real world numbers are more like 60 feet. In my opinion that's not worth it. I basically would need to walk up the the truck to start it
