    Do y'all ever do any fundraising/charity stuff for your meets? I was thinking... What if we do a canned food fundraiser for the meet? I'm sure Volusia/Flagler county food banks could use some help, especially right after the hurricane and right before Thanksgiving. Would it be too much to ask everyone to bring half a dozen cans or nonperishable items to donate?

    Oh I don't know, it was just a thought. I was thinking the parking lot off 301 but after looking at the street view on Google maps I see that there's a closed gate at the 301 entrance & the one on MLK.

    I just knew I would always see security roaming near the entry off orient when I would drop off my gf for work at the Fairgrounds. That's why I wasn't sure where we would meet.

    True. There is the guard office that's a few hundred feet away. Dunno how kindly they will take to a bunch of trucks parking over there though.

    It's south of 60 right next to 75, so we'd have to get on 75 & head north to I4. The Hardrock was more convenient & easy to find.

    RT 31 to 17, turns into 98 :burnrubber: travel time of 2 hours :cool: But that is just me......I like driving through the "Real Florida" and spend more than enough hours on 75 :thumbsup:

    Google Earth hasn't updated. But the area in the square is what I remembered being dug up. How much they have blocked off for the area I am not sure. Dunno if there would be enough room in that eastern part. Since I am sure that area will be filled more. Do you have to pay to go into the garage? Maybe just meet at the top level?

    I think that's a great idea. If you want to organize it and set it up with the appropriate organizations...the Red Cross or something, I'd be willing to bring some stuff...or at least send it over with Frank or something if I opt not to make this one. :cool:

    Traveling I4 is taking your life in your hands. Last time I was on I4, going to Todd's to help with Spencer's diff swaps, there were 2 fatal accidents on it, one of which I passed on the way to Lakeland (a motorcyclist dumped her bike for some reason and then got run over by a Camry). It's actually pretty damn terrifying how many people are killed on I4. :eek:
