NW WA Meet / BS Thread

Count me in. I just picked up a tree saver and snatch block.

 

It's a Smittybilt x20. I think it's just the power box that's bad.

 

Just out of curiosity, because I've never done ManStache before, how late do you imagine this will go? Meet at NB at 7AM, takes an hour and a half-ish to get there (?), so how many hours on the actual trail?

It takes about an hour to get into the wheeling area from the highway. Most of the trails in the area range from an hour a trail to 3hrs. Depends on the condition of the trail, the pace we set, the group size and experience. I plan on staying out there as long as we can. Idk maybe air back up around 630

 

Its taken me about 45 minutes to get from thorp to the start of the mid summit trail but it was 3 of us and we were hauling. If we can leave thorp by 10-10:30 then we'll have plenty of time and probably air up by 4-5

 

Well sheeeit. Sounds like it's gonna be an awesome time, but I gotta be down in Battle Ground for a fund raiser dinner by 6. Much rather be playing in the rain than suited up, but it's for a good friend of mine so I can't back out.

I love that truck! I have the Dana 60 for my future SAS, but it's going to be a couple years away. I'll probably go 38's in the end because I drive it a lot.

I'm not going to make it. Wifey came to visit me last night in Boardman, now I want to see her more and see the children at home, plus things to do on the honey do list, ideally before rain really kicks up. I'll be digging post holes for 4x4 posts, half of them 16 feet long, then concreting those suckers in.

 

I hear ya. I have my own honey do list I've been avoiding.

View from Takhlakh Lake yesterday morning. It rained pretty good the whole weekend, but we had the entire camp pretty much to ourselves.

Ran into a couple built Jeeps and a Ford that were part of Gitout; they were running the WABDR sections that David and I did at the end of August.

 

well just got back from running tripod flats up the moon and funny rocks. Did about a 12 mile loop, for the most part it was fine, but with the rain this week and all day today a few of the off camber spots we started to slide into the trees got good use out of the rock sliders.

@northwesttaco i didn't go up the mid summit, but we came down the blad mountian road, which anyone can get up with standard 4wd even if wet. Just go down the road a bit past the mid summit trail.
