I have one I made that just sits over coals. Weldered up the hole in the center and away we go. I'm considering buying a new one to use on my camp chef though.

 

Its nice the first few times you go thru there.
Ive been going since 2001 and frankly....it gets a bit boring. However, the walking trails are nice if youre into the health thing but its kinda a long drive just to walk some trails.

Its not like it was pre 2000 when you actually needed a 4x4 to get up in there and the mustardgrounds area.
Now, anyone with a honda civic or mini van can drive in the HP.

 

I forgot the fancy name they are calling them nowadays but they are heller expensive.
Good thing is there are many inexpensive varients like the king cooker and the outdoor woks.

I just got home about midnight. Got some major shingle damage on the roof. Lucky I didn't have any leaks

 

?? I was told at the Expo by the vendor what they were made of. They offer an expensive product. I posted a cheaper product, made of the same material.

Hope all the coasties are fairing OK after the storm, NC and SC coast got hammered it seems.

I got my maintenance done over the weekend, skids on and off was the most tedious part, off was a bitch, on not too bad.

Got the rear diff and tcase fluid switched out, front diff gave me trouble. thats the one with the 10mm hex plug. stripped that bitch. (the lower one, the drain hole) must have been mud in there (imagine that) that prevented the tool to fully seat in there. Top one (fill) no issue. ordered a new plug and will attempt in the near future, maybe an ez out, or weld a nut or something on it. I need to give it a good hard whack with the bfh first, didnt do that first go around. got spark plugs changed and oil, and greased me shaft too. My rear ujoint at the rear diff, the grease zerk is gone, must have sheared it off somehow. Will have to try to get a new zerk in there, or maybe a new ujoint.
