ALRIGHT KIDDIES THIS BUILD IS BACK LIVE!

There are a few things that are going to be coming down the pipe, but I am also going to need some assistance so if you have got some insight and stumble across this build let me know.

Suspension is going to get a makeover:
    • Looking at either King or ADS front/rear bypasses for better ride and performance on/offroad (ADS was asking about max extended droop specs front/rear, anyone have this info?). I would still like to land on 3" of lift.
    • How heavy of coils to run with a stock front end (no bumper)?
    • I currently have a top plate spacer to get rid of taco lean. Will I need that with the new suspension?
    • Possibly changing the UCAs - I currently am running LR arms which need new bushings - is there any incentive or noticeable upgrade in me changing over to a uniball UCA?
    • May go the route of a BAMF rear shock relocate. I am currently running a Dakar 3" leaf pack. Other than extended brake lines do I face any other issues with upgrading to a 12" rear shock? Keep in mind I am working with stock fenders. Anything else I can do to support maximum travel while retaining stock fenders? Do I need to get bumps as well?
    Body may get some attention:
    • I have always wanted to get a set of sliders
    • My rear bumper has a couple of dents so I don't see why a guy doesn't go and get a plate one
    • My tailgate has some sloppiness due to someone before me adhering the badges on with "not" normal adhesive. Removal of the badges ended up taking off some paint. Not sure what I am doing back here yet, but something needs to be done.
    • I have a set of 09+ Tails that I plan on modifying and then installing :spy:
    • I may end up getting some new wheels as well
    • LED fog lights from Morimoto are well overdue
    • I either need to re-dip or vinyl wrap my roof. Starting to show its age
There are some maintenance items that I know need addressed (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you have some suggestions for things I have possibly not thought about let me know. Truck has 157k on the clock):
    • Both SC and primary serpentine belt need replacing
    • I have a sneaking suspicion that the driver's side hub needs replacing
    • My steering rack is clicking. I have my fingers crossed that it is just inner/outer tie rods and not the rack itself. I will jack the truck up and hopefully gather some info when messing with them.

It's about this time that this thing got back on track. For a long time I thought I was going to buy a new truck, but now that I am faced with it I just can't let this beauty go!

Tagging people that I think might have a little know. Bring your friends as I am drawing a blank :)

Steering rack going bad would would have a symptom of wandering on you, not clicking. Replaced mine & it was a pain in the dick. My bet would be on the tie rods. For these MOOG is actually not a bad replacement part IMO.

600 or 650# coil would probably do ya with a stock front end. 650 if you've got any skids beyond toyota tin foil.

Id run the uca you have for now.

you will not need a top plate spacer anymore. Coil adjustment will take it's place.

King or DSM should have extended lengths for their coilovers both oem and extended lengths.

My dad runs the ads coilovers they make for factory install. Ride amazing. 650 is the rate Id go with.

If you wanna really go good with the rear setup. Contact Matt at MCM @M C M he has a bad as mid travel kit for 2nd gens that'll do the front and rear. Including hydro rear bumps. With custom shocks. @Sacrifice is running the full kit.

yeaaaa, great kit. The rear rides super smooth. But it is a penny. Front and rear shocks are 2.5inch with the MCM kit

Front I am running 700lb coils instead but I have a plate bumper/winch/skids.

I would also suggest agains 3''. 2'' is about perfect and nicer to the CVs and keeps your down travel.

Frank is at 3'' but the LT helps. Igor is at about 2'' or less and is perfect too. The FRV is also sitting perfect at about 2

3" here!! cuz I got a little dick..

I tore a boot prior to the Kings (2-2.5") and after (3").. so F it. It doesn't help my body and radiator support bushings are toast though either. Once I replace those, I should be able to lower the fronts just a tad.

I might realistically be at more like 2" now anyway. I believe that the Dakar pack is 2.75" and has probably settled a bit. I will likely be removing the overload spring as well. I am okay with 2" as long as 33s clear OK. I have already dome the CMC so I should be good there. Maybe just a bit more trimming in the fender well department.

I am good with 2" of lift if the performance value is there.

Should be fine. My dad was running 34s. He would rub the top but if you add some front wheelers superbumps, which you should, then you'd be fine
