I had the same problem with my 06..Normally it is in a right turn..Going to pull out into traffic then all of sudden the accelerater has nothing ....Eventually the truck decides to start moving again...When it happens it feels like it is coasting...Scares you have to death with traffic bearing down on you...In my 10 year old 300k miles previous Tacoma this happened...Now I have a one month old 2017 TRD OR 4x2 that does same thing... Want to know if other Tacoma owners have experience this...? Thanks in Advance

It's normal. These trucks like to bog down on turns. I've had 4 of them and they all did this. The weak 3.5 exacerbates this. Learn to live with it. It's just something you'll have to get used to. Sorry bro.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts often do.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
I have found that if I put mine in ECT power mode, I have no issues. I treat ECT Power as my "normal" driving mode, and switch it off when cruising on the highway. Makes the entire drive much more pleasant.

If ur traction control is kicking in and cutting power, You just have to feather the throttle while turning. If you had a Tundra U would probably end up in the dich lol.

You can push the accelerator to the floor board nothing happens...If you take your foot off the pedal momentarily and then push the pedal again it eventually starts accelerating again....

Talk to service advisor he mentioned that I could be hitting the brake pedal unintentionally..I think he maybe right...I believe this to be what was causing the truck to quit accelerating...Kind of embarrassing but it is what it is....lol
