Chris does it look like this? There is a curator at the NRA museum that is extremely helpful with this type of weapon....

Depending on the condition and exact model they could be in the range of 3K...

The 1864 Springfield Armory .58 cal was referred to as the "Type II" and was produced during 1864-65. A total of 255,040 were made.

And here is the Wikipedia article describing it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springfield_Model_1863

Restoring them kills the value in many cases people want these guns in original condition.....

Just built a new AR. Alg parts kit and trigger (milspec plus). Alg receiver extention and buffer/ spring. LMT 16" barrel(carbine), LMT FSB, LMT upper, LMT bolt, CMMG BC, magpul mlok handguard, BCM, mod 1 pistol grip, and a magpul CTR stock. All on an Anderson stripped lower. Probably going to go with an H2 buffer in the future though.

Just ordered 6 magazines for the HK USP 9mm Tactical. I'm good with the rest of my stuff. Probably get an extra barrel and some more ammo for everything though. I've got a handgun course at the end of the month I'll be needing more 9mm...
