Added rigid industries d2 fog lights to my rig , instructions blow dog, use basic common sense, and most importantly , don't Frankenstein your wiring harness to make them work. Adapter from Amazon cost 5.22 little solder and 6 pack of beer 10.00, heat shrink tubing 2.25, and 1 zip tie . Now works with factory switch ,no flicker, and bright as shit. Moving forward just changed the horns to hella super tones ,easy inexpensive. Used existing horn holes and bolts, plugged existing connector into back of each horn ,other connection made with a similar connector and small piece of wire to ground . Tinted the windows of course 15 % front 5%rear and sun roof. All weather floor mats from Toyota cheaper than weather tech 135.00 and are made and mold4d the same ,good stuff. New back up led lights from amazon with led in license plate as well. The do not interfere wit the cam one bit ,no glare

Great mods, all. Would you please post a link to that backup light setup you found? I would love to check those out.

    Thanks...

That's somewhat vague. Have Gen-3 Tacomas been completely failing due to swapping out incandescent backup lights for LED backup lights? Seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Care to elaborate...?

There is at least one thread that the switched out lights seem to have cause some issues, worth reading up on as I have read about others going back to stock on their lights.

I've seen three accounts where people reported issues on third gens after installing different lights. The most recent was a pretty serious truck failure which was resolved by going back stock. Something to keep in mind if anything goes wonky.

I dunno, maybe its just me, but I have absolutely ZERO interest in changing lights on my truck. I guess to me lights are, well just lights...:notsure:

Wow. Weird... I never would have thought that a simple bulb swap could wreak so much havoc. Thanks. I'll check for those threads.

I have not had any issue with the back up lights ,ineas worried at first that they would throw a error code but 6000 miles later nothing , had the wife change out the license plate bulbs as it required a smaller hand

Just added an icon 2 inch stage 4 suspension lift, a very nice kit but makes the truck noisy from the uniball but the rear shocks and add a leaf made a big difference in carrying weight in the back, so far a pallet of tile about 1500 lbs and it didn't even sink, Tried to contact icon about the noise but no response. I should have gone with Kings
