I went with a Street Guardian SG9665GC along with a hardwire kit. Stealthy and works well though pricey compared to other dashcams.

went with another entune that does not use factory amps and a signal processor for the alpine amps. Not familiar enuff for android units yet but may go with them in my Mustang.

I got one of those cheaper smaller go pro session and it's way too wide of an angle. Y'all may want to try the go pro silver instead.

Kept the steering controls but they do make an adapter that will work too.

But did you try and tap in at the overhead console? Find a 12v there or did you run it around to the lower fuse box?

Damn that camera is nice. Might be the next thing I buy for the truck. Was it a pain routing and hiding all the wiring? Also does it just plug into the cigarette lighter?

The only thing that really bother me was : when I unbox the package saw the cord that complemented th unit to cigarette lighter spot, feeling skeptical about the length

However, saw the suggested installation in the owner's manual, gave me some other ideas to route the wiring behind OEM carpet and to conseal the sight of wiring as much as possible.

So to answer your question, no it's not bad, but if you want to make the wiring looking like it's out of manufacturing plant, you may need to spend extra time and effort to zip tie object underneath the glove compartment box for solution.

The clip above was wifi downloaded, took me a while to figure out the UI for the unit, send straight to youtube for sharing. That is what I wanted!

here is the day time clip

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZe4ElKeo9E&feature=em-upload_owner

    (honestly, at 1080 30P, isn't that great...)

TIPS: Wifi download, make sure your unit is set to 5 min mark for the unit to turn off automatically, otherwise, while downloading (280mb), cam will shut off, and you have to start all over again (reconnect with unit and etc...)

the raining days are coming this week, would love to do some more video posting with rain....
