    If you have a 2nd gen, you have no heated mirrors. Most vehicles costing $15,000 less have them though. :goingcrazy:

    My wife's 2004 Rav4 had heated mirrors as a stock option. Maybe they were saving it as an up sell for the 3rd gens :notsure:

    We have a 2009 Corolla that has heated mirrors too. Same deal with the variable intermittent wipers not being standard on 2nd gens. When I was in high school my mom had a 93 Camry that had them. 1993 ffs!

    I bugged him for months to look into the possibility of putting his skills and style into "the mod". He finally broke down and gave it some thought...he's such a perfectionist, it's been kinda a long road - and I'm going a little crazy!

    I am wondering if you would like to put together a kit for the FJ Cruiser. I've managed to source OEM heated mirrors from Japan (part of their cold weather package we never got in the States) and they will ship is a week or two. A kit for the FJ should be fairly similar to the Tacoma kit and switch options similar as well. The FJ has amber lighting on the switches so that would be the most appropriate color.
    I've included a photo of the switch blank where the Heated Mirror switch could go. We also have the heated rear glass and a source for power could be obtained through that circuit or directly below the region of the photo, where the fuse panel is located.

    Tell me if you think this is possible. There are a number of us on the FJ Forum that would be interested in a kit.

    Hey Dave,

    The FJ is something that I looked into, I went as far as building a harness for it and had also found the JDM mirrors that you have sourced. I decided not to proceed though as a very simple solution popped up for heated mirrors here. http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/foru...0345-group-buy-trail-toys-ezview-mirrors.html

    Your best bet would be to reach out to @SMKYTXN from trail toys and I'm sure he would be able to help you out with a harness. As I recall the harness that I build wouldn't be a direct fit on the FJ, there were a few areas where the wire lengths needed to be adjusted.

    I'm really interested in one of these kits before snowboard season! In my prep/research I've discovered the cool EZView mirrors with their heating film and, like I said in their thread, might as well upgrade the glass while I'm out here. Splitting the cost of the upgrade and doing a little work myself is always good for an addict.

    Anyway, If I understand how this works I should be able to get the heated ezviews and a wiring kit and slap it all together at once with little to no cutting.

    Am I crazy? Sorry if its repetitive; I just tried to read through the entire thread and every nuanced question had an equally nuanced answer!
