Still want! I'll take either, I'll have onboard hot water soon enough. Very clean tank install.

Does so and Craigslist buy sets a new record at the baja 1k. Maybe we all can learn something from this build. Maybe not.

short version: new springs cut short now back end of truck sits way too high.
longer version: F67's broken and sagged out, on bump stops when loaded, rear hitch height 21". Bought used set of 50T's that needed a main leaf, had local shop make 2 new main leafs, ride height back to normal (27"), unbelievable ride off road. BUT, springs too long, shackles were hitting frame. The way the shackle mounts are there is no way to fix or move. Had main leaf shortened 2", they cut the eye off and re-curled the spring. Now 32" ride height and shackle angle what you see here. I hope it settles after running or I'll be screwed. Out of money to make new mains.

Drill a new hole in those shackles to make them "shorter" and that should lower your ride ht? About the only free suggestion I can think of.

Just asking round here. Anyone have some 3"x16"x600lb coil springs they would like to get rid of?

    Also sub'd for LT shenanigans.

So I've had this thought before and I'm having it again...

Putting ORI struts on the front end of my truck.

I do not do a whole lot of high speed stuff anymore. Occasionally I rip down a whooped out dirt road, and that's about it. I would much prefer to be get some stability on the road back. I already have a nitrogen tank set up.

    Thoughts?

I don't see a problem, you'll probably have to F around with pressures for a while to get the right 'spring rate'. Only issue would be blowing a seal and being on bumpstops till you replace/get home.

I wouldn't, Just add about 10% more slow speed rebound if you're looking for a more stable on road ride. Don't go too much as it can make the ride feel harsh.

Could you elaborate more on that? My truck runs like a bouncy ball on the highway, off-road it seems fine. Front is a Camburg LT with Camburg spec'd 2.5 SAWs, rear is DMZ SUA with 3.0 SAWs running 12/10 stacks, single full size spare in the bed, 2nd gen. DCSB 4x4.
I'm trying to daily drive it right now since the temperatures are dropping and my actual DD came with a nice warning from GM and Goodyear to not drive it in low temps unless I buy all season tires. :annoyed:

What's your tire pressure? Are the tires balanced? Bias ply?

Are your shocks charged? 200psi is the normal charge, but can go up or down 50psi with no issues.

If your tires and Nitrogen charge are OK I would try going the next thickness up on the largest shim on the rebound on the front coilovers only.

Id pass. They couldn't hold my dads rig up and failed 4 times on the trail. Luckily he was carrying nitro with him.

They did ride amazing. But couldn't cope with the weight. Been on a buddies single cab for a few years now and never had an issue.

They also fluctuate with temperatures a lot. Like 1-2".

ORIs arent going to give you any more stability then if you revalve your coilovers.
