My wife and I are currently paying $2550 in rent for a small one bedroom in LA while we save up to buy a house.... And that's the cheapest we could find.

Many economist are predicting that crash is heading this way.
And its all thanks to the Chinese. Many of the homes here are from foreign buyers from China. Many say its their way of laundering dirty money. Who knows but they definitely seem to be buying everything here. Its not fair at all to anyone just starting out to need to compete in the housing market against rich foreigners.

Many of the chinese students are University of Toronto live in fancy penthouse condos while they go to school, once they finish school parents sell the place and just made an easy 200K.

Not only this, but most marketing departments in large corporations now have entire social media departments, and in some industries they hire professional trolls to pose as owners to trash the competition. I have no idea if that happens here or not, and even if it does it doesn't mean everyone with a problem is a professional troll, but this does happen more often now than it did 5 years ago.

its something you don't want to believe, but you'd have to be an idiot to think automakers are better than that lol.

It was happening in my former industry a decade ago, not on social media but in the comments section of articles in online publications, and it wasn't just product comments. I would be quoted in an article and the competitors trolls would come out and make all sorts of personal attacks and claims about me and my motivations. It didn't bother me because I knew that 1.it was BS and most people knew it and 2.it wasn't personal because the people didn't know me, just business. On the other hand, it actually made my wife cry which did piss me off. I guess I have been aware of the practice for a long time because of my involvement in marketing.

Sounds about right. also a reason you can't always trust reviews too.
I know a company I used to work for had great ratings on homestars (not sure if you have it down there or something just like it). The owner and his wife used to go online and write fake reviews saying "they did so good on my soffit pot lights" "they did a great job on my houses wiring" blah blah
Ended up being best company on homestars 3 years in a row. We did good work but still the fact they did shit like that was ridiculous. But no surprise really the owners wife was a royal fuckin cunt. A lot of guys quit just because of how much of a bitch she was to everyone.

@dpgreen both of them were a bunch of little fuckin slithering snakes though. When the company got organized by the union they tried to say not every employee got to vote (since they didn't want to go union) started saying former employees still worked for them, started saying other contractors like the drywallers and carpenters we always worked with worked for them as well.

Too bad for them the union caught on quick when they made the stupid mistake of saying I still work for them when I know all the union reps haha. Union rep saw my name on the list called me and said "Joe, you work for 'electrical company' right?" told him yes and all he said was "well oris is saying you still work for him and that you didn't vote for the company to go union" I laughed lol.

Little did any of them realize the union was there for the vote because I ran into some of the guys that worked there still and told them how when I got into the union they told me I should've stayed where I was that they wanted to organize the company anyways. As soon as I mentioned that the guy I was talking to called the union and asked for them to come for the vote haha.

But just goes to show, contractors and big companies will do anything to help them and increase their rep.

I feel for you guys having all these problem with this new truck.
I’m glad I didn’t get the extended warranty because I’d much rather use that money to offset a loss on a trade than to be spending my valuable time at the stealership fixing something that should have never needed fixing in the first place.

That’s the Toyota I used to know, and why I’ve been a loyal customer all these years.

Right now all is working real well with mine, but I got to be perfectly honest and tell you that should things turn south for me, the grass is looking much greener on the GMC lots.

    Best of luck
    Cheers!

Perhaps, but when you get there you may find the grass is now greener somewhere else. You also might want to check out the Coloradofans forum before jumping ship.

Yes they have that's why I'm soo pissed,my first toyota was a 1986 fire engine red 4x4 pick up with the 22r engine that I bought in 1988.It had 22k on it and I ran that thing to the ground only had to change the oil and brake pads.Never once had a serious issue or any others I owned after that one.I buy Toyota for reliability and dont feel like this purchase is gonna be reliable.I have the rough idle, the crazy shifting trans, and the weird noises too but this oil thingy is the topping on the cake.I guess we'll see ???

Oh yeah and last week they did the TSB and checked the tranny fluid which was supposedly filled to specs. I see no change only from rev/drive and drive/rev no more clunking noise.

But the bank gets to keep his 40k and the house. Nothing has changed from the housing collapse except that you now have to put 20% down in most places to buy a house.
