Now i'm online looking at whole house natural gas generators. Seems like it could be worth the investment.

To-date, I have not been able to justify the cost. In over 20 years, only needed/wanted a genny twice. Very much depends on the quantity and quality of your day-to-day power though and how often chit happens to get thrown your way.

Our day to day is generally fine, but this summer we lost power a few times while the company worked on the lines without notice. So we lost food in the refrigerator and I had to leave work to come home and make sure our animals weren't cooking to death closed up inside the house. In the event of a hurricane I feel like it would be nice to have the option of running power.

I've been twiddling my thumbs for weeks at work. Today I finally got some work. One of the managers wants to update 4 slides on a power power point. They said it shouldn't take more than a week to finish.

I guess that means I should spend one day per slide.

Oh it will. All I have to do is show enlarged views of P&IDs and Operator Graphics. Easy peasy

So you have about 30 minutes worth of work that you have to stretch into four days? Don't complain too much.

    Working hard, I see.

Heard you were working down in my neck of the woods.

Throw some graphs in there, yo. B̶i̶t̶c̶h̶e̶s̶ Managers love graphs.

At this point in the rat race, that sounds like heaven.
