I like Tacos better than anything Honda makes. But I like Honda better than anything other than Tacos that Toyota makes.

Saw the cement at the Dallas Auto Show and wasn't too impressed. However, saw it again under the sun at the dealership and was blown away! I had to make her mine.

    4Runners are great. But if I didn't drive a Taco, I probably wouldn't drive a truck/SUV. And if I drove a car, I'd get a Honda Accord, I think.

I can't believe it (I can actually) but I had the truck sold out from underneath me as I was putting the deposit down. The store - Henderson Toyota in NC - had closed early Saturday because of Hurricane Matthew. I sent the signed order consent form and I was getting ready to give them $1,000 deposit to hold until Friday, when he called and said they sold it just then. Great! Now, back on the hunt. He just got a red A/T Pro today off the trailer, if anyone is interested. I am only interested in M/T.

    Still waiting for it
Don't let it bring you down-
I've had 2 deposits down at 2 dealers for a cement A/T - 6 weeks, not even an allocation yet.
I looked on cars.com today- turns out there was one 40 miles away in the Bronx for 41.9. I called and put down a deposit. Pick it up Thursday... keep after it.

    Thanks!

I saw that one in the Bronx. I have actually found a few cement A/T around me. But no M/T.

I have found another one farther away but I shall see how the negotiation goes on it.

Don't know if they still have it, but I inquired about this truck a few weeks ago. Dealer is located north of Columbus, OH.

Just lost another one!:mad: I think if I ever find another - I will not speak of it until I have keys in hand. This is crazy.

Those of you that have A/T - do you notice any issues with shifting? The sales guy up the street said these trucks were made for the M/T - works perfectly, but notice the shifting in the A/Ts to be a little off. Just curious. A/Ts sure are easier to find. Makes sense since someone on here said that only 5% will be M/T.

Is ordering a Pro not an option? I am going with a Tundra for next truck and will probably have to order it since I want a Pro. Fortunately in my area there are a lot of Toyota dealers and also a lot of other dealers so I will not play games with them. I am 1 to 2 years out. If not for the fact that I just bought a set of ST Maxx's that are still sitting in my garage I would probably start to get more serious towards the end of the year.

You don't really order one in that you cannot custom specify what features you want. I "ordered" mine by calling every dealer within 200 miles of me and asking for the build sheet for their next TRD Pro Tacoma allocation, then I picked the dealer that was getting the one that was the closest to the way I'd configure it. I put a deposit down, and the waiting game began.

I only have 250 miles on my A/T Pro, and not really noticing any tranny issues....No lag while going into R from P or R to D, etc. I am coming from a 6-sp man taco, so still getting used to driving a A/T. It is a little funcky while out of ECT mode. It seems to shift to early out of ECT mode. I do not know if my truck has had the TSB done or not...build date is 9/16. I am sure other guys will interject there knowledge and info. So far my truck has been solid. I would have loved the M/T as well, but for my overall needs the A/T just suits me better....

Coming from a MT I feel a little guilty admitting that I'm really enjoying the AT. After 2000k miles I'm not detecting any shifting issues.

    Ultimate bike delivery vehicle...

I am planning to buy a Tacoma TRD Pro in Cement color and manual transmission in south Florida. I have contacted over 10 dealres in 100 miles radius and one of them is willing to order one for me at msrp which is: $41,710.00 (including Destination) and No Florida dealer fee!

Is this good? I know there is invoice and then there is holdback but on such a rare truck I won't be able to get any of that or would I?

NADA state invoice plus destination to be $38699 so dealer wants $3011 in profit. is that reasonable?

    Thanks for all your helps.

It's extremely reasonable and I would jump on it. Most dealers are asking 5k over. I have been trying to work a deal on a manual cement, but they won't budge from 5k over msrp.

Make sure they are not blowing smoked up ur butt!! Ask them if they have a allocation for a Pro....They cannot order one by the true definition....MSRP with no extra fees would be a good deal at this point as others have found out some dealers charging 5k over is ridiculous.
