Ah bummer man, def worth trying that method as you might very well get stuck in a similar orientation when you reach your desired height. I think if you take it slow it should work.

I need to try that above method too. I was using the Icon spanner wrench, and on one hole, it slips out. Like its rounded.

Do you guys preload the drivers side slightly more for lean, or use a 1/4" spacer? Or both? I'm running Ext Kings. I took the preload out that I originally put in for height, and it didn't really lower it much and rides much smoother.

Definitely preload the coilover if you need to. Don't use a spacer. that defeats the purpose of having an adjustable coilover. And you'll be changing the extended length and where the coilover bottoms out, with a spacer.

Whats annoying to me is having spent about $4500 in King shocks, I didn't even get a spanner wrench from King for my coilovers. What is that shit.

Actually I did preload the drivers side about a 1/4" more thread, it seems pretty level. I just really hate the taco lean.

I am talking about a 1/4" spacer nothing crazy. But I understand your point.

Really? I have 3 of them. They send me one with every set of coilovers I buy.

I have Icon rear resi's right now. They ride super smooth. However, its so stupid that you have to cut the shock bucket on the rear in order for the hose to fit properly. If I had known that before I would not have gotten these. Gonna run the extended travel fronts with a mid travel when I'm not broke

    I didn't get one.

My coilovers adjust super easy on the truck with the correct size punch however.

I personally have never bought anything ADS except some lower rod ends. So I don't really know.
Just run to harbor freight and buy a punch set and you're done. $9 well spent

How many inches of threads do you have showing from the adjuster ring to the where the threads start on the CO? When I got my Icon ext. travel coil overs, I preloaded them to 2.5" of threads showing, then backed off to Icon's recommended 2.375" of threads showing instead. I have a 1st gen. Not sure if the measurements are different for each generation.

Thats some weak shit. I got a punch wrench from my coilovers when I ordered from wheelers. I bet if you called king they could probably just mail you one on the cheap.

Anyone switched out Icons for Kings? Any feedback on how the ride changed on and off-road, if at all?
