On another note can anyone verify the gearing for me? Just want to be 100% before I order this diff. 4:10's is what I'm seeing from the research I did.

Does the oil filter your using have a good anti drain back valve. Use a quality filter like Toyota or Wix and it generally wil have an easy time getting oil when it needs to go when you restart. Unfortunately chain clatter is common in a lot of engine during initial startup, my Maxima does it, the truck weirdly enough doesn't but I think it may have a spring loaded tensioner being as old as it is.

 

I thought it was the filter originally since he didn't have a toyota filter on there. Changed it out but nothing changed. Seems that I can hear the chain clattering when I dropped below 2k rpm and hold speed.

 

Have you run an oil pressure gauge yet?

 

Is it gas, forced air?

As a homeowner, an annual furnace cleaning and safety inspection is recommended. I have a guy who does it every October for me. Good for piece of mind.

Not sure how old yours is, but mine is getting up there in years and I want to keep it going for as long as possible.

 

My guess is your blower is about to go out that it drew enough on start up that it kicked breaker. Our you have a dirty/bad breaker that has a bad connection.

 

Anyone replaced a serpentine belt? Got told its going out on the gfs car...don't really wannt pay 600 bucks for Toyota to fix it. Especially when she is wanting a new car soon.

 

1/2" breaker bar in the idler to relieve tension, and be sure to sketch out the path for reinstalling. Cake walk.

 

Nice. Might jsut do it myself depending on work coming up and what not. I'll need something to mess with once the 4runner is gone.
