They already make black emblems for the 2nd gen. Toyota I believe had OEM replacements. Atleast for the "Tacoma" emblems. No one makes any full replacement for the 3rd gen yet. This is why I decided to look into getting a set made. A company makes some overlays (see above) but just for an overlay kit they want $99 dollars. I think I can match or beat this price

Why not make your own molds and pour acrylic yourself?

I've worked with this stuff before and its not that hard.

FYI on the Nox-Lux overlays - IMO derping looks better (and hopefully OP's will as well) as the Nox-Lux overlays completely black out the center of the "A"'s in "Tacoma". I think being able to see the paint/body color underneath the "A" makes for a cleaner and more legible appearance.

If we can pick and choose which ones we want I'd be in. If we have to order a entire kit I'd be out

As already stated they are going to be offered as a 7 piece kit. Perhaps I may be able to part out a few of the kits depending on who needs/wants what. Btw I see you have a second gen. These are 3rd gen replacements although you could put them on a second gen. Toyota makes black emblems for the second gen

I'll definetly be giving a TW world discount or group buy pricing to the first so many buyers. Hopefully I have pricing soon. I sent the measurements over for a quote. Stay tuned!

I agree. However, isopropyl dries the shit out of paint my dude, so cleaning those areas with that and then sticking the adhesives to the unpolished paint with a solvent thats known to dry paints out just isn't for me I guess. As long as your conditions are controlled (in a garage), and only use a small amont of polish like I said, let that set, than at least your paint is protected and trust me the emblems stay, i've done it a few times! :):):)

I just don't want someone to clean it and then decided to apply some type of wax or something it the emblem not adhere well and then it fall off. An alcohol wipe will work but they leave streaks. I was told 80% Isopropyl alcohol or higher doesn't streak. I didn't think it would dry out paint maybe rubber but I'm unsure. Either way I would just use a aerosol window cleaner. Works well, doesn't streak and doesn't hurt the paint.

Exactly, I think there is a bit of a demand for them as long as the price is reasonable. Just 4 Toyota emblems for the 2nd gen are going for over $100. So if I can make a 7 piece set with a new from grill emblem for $100 dollar I think that's extremely reasonable. Unfortunately not every one will use every emblem in the kit but that's the cheapest and easiest way for me to have them manufactured. Also if I can offer a TW discount or group buy I definitely will. I'm not trying to get rich off selling these. Just think it's a great idea to have a nice kit made up instead of having to paint or plastidip. Or the overlay kit that doesn't look as nice as a replacement.

I'm sure I could pry out a few kits to a couple of lucky buyers. I know a few people only want the Tacoma emblems and I think a few were just looking for some SR5 ones. We'll see what happens. Hopefully they get me the pricing soon. They've been very quick to respond back. I exchanged about 6 emails last night with them

I have distributed 3M double sided tapes to automotive, electronics and industrial for 23 years.
Your good to go with ISA pad...
3M recommend this for twenty plus years
Look at AVS Aeroskin for example...

Yep I install a bunch of these and other products that use 3m and other brand adhesives. I do perfer on paint to use aerosol window cleaner just because it doesn't streak, sometimes I'll use both of I feel there is wax or something else that may interfere with the bonding

Let me know I can set you up with a 3M authorized die cut for the 3M adhesive.

I think the manufacturer is going to take car of the adhesive. if not, or I decide to go a different root like casting my own then that would definetly come in handy. Thanks

btw @Lawfarin count me in as well. I don't get why people won't pay 99.99 for the full set? thats what it was for second gen full sets? seems reasonable to me.
