I want to start off by saying thanks for the help

Just had my leafs replaced by toyota. Im lookin at buying a ARB front bumper. For the front I plan on getting 5100's up front with the 887 coils. For the rear im not sure. Do I use a Add a leaf or get the Dakars for the rear. I have a ARE-Z topper in the rear.

I would prefer to just use a Add a leaf if I can. Suggestions?

I'd not bother with an AAL if you're running a shell full time.

If that's all the budget allows, get a single leaf AAL (not a progressive 3 leaf) - they handle weight better. If you can afford Dakars or similar, get them instead. Night and day difference.

I vote for dakars. They are working great for me...despite the squeaks.

How bad is the squeak? Did you order the OME kit?

I highly recommend the Dakars. I have them with my ARE and they ride awesome

It ranges from quiet to pretty annoying, but it can be treated for cheap and doesn't take long.

Mine squeaks like an old truck. BUT keep in mind that I did not try to fix it. There are tips on TW on how to fix it (sprays, pond liner, bicycle tire tubes, etc). If I had known it would come up I would have put the liners in before I installed the leaf packs. I say order the whole new leaf pack and put them in yourself. It wasn't that hard with the help of a friend...you'll need it, they are HEAVY.

Check out Sumosprings. Reports here suggest a 5/8" gain in height with no load. That's the way I'm going.

I'll have mine by the end of the year and will post the gains. I'm guessing I'll see about an inch total since the canopy has caused the suspension to sag about half an inch.

I'll be doing a bumper and front suspension come tax time, but I'm going for 1 to 1.5" max over stock in the front with Bilstein 6112 coilovers.
