Sway-A-Way 2.5 coilover

For those needing a sympathy story to aid the cause: I bought this truck and modded it pre-wife & baby. Between our other vehicles and buying a house, rebuilding a shock just aint in the cards time wise. That being said, these coilovers can be returned to full glory!

Interestingly aFe (the guys that make warm air intakes, such as the one on my truck lol) has acquired sway-a-way's shock division which apparently was the original way things used to be according to the website.

I'm looking to go extended travel King,Fox,Icon.. whatever color hits me.

 

There's a guy selling 0-2" SAW rear shocks on here for cheap.

Someone could have a matching set.

Rears are sold, dammit! Any idea on product support from AFE since the buyout? Not much support for high end suspension here in Kentucky, any other places that you would recommend to rebuild these and a guestimate on cost?

 

Ship to downsouth Motorsport for rebuild and then ship to you. I could ship to them first and have them ship to you? Cost to rebuild cost me $150 5yrs ago, that was oil and seal kit. Also bought a new shaft for $80. Not sure the cost for lower heims...

 

I think at $400-450 plus shipping is a decent price for these considering you would have to rebuild them. I wonder if these are able to add resi's to them?

I'm not original owner, I bought these 'used' as well and rebuilt them replacing 1 shaft that was pitted and had them rebuilt by Downsouth Motorsport. From that point forward they acquired 70,xxx miles including multiple off-road desert and mountain trails (see signature pic). I haven't found the part # for lower bearings, but aFe should have them. I can contact them when I have the time. At this time only one shock has approximately 0.5mm of play in the lower heim, but considering that it went bad I would replace both while they're out. The shock with the bad bearing is also leaking oil as evidence from the dirt built up on the lower cap. As Chris stated, $400-450 + shipping is a good price considering these go for $1200+ new.

Thanks for all the info - quick note that you posted the specs for the Tundra but I looked it up for the Tacoma so no worries.
