According to Airflow their snorkel :
Update from the director of aerodynamics:

Maximum =600.349334 cfm for the snorkel.

Optimum is 388.461334 cfm for reduced turbulence and increased efficiency


Obviously cfm is dependent on boost, but I am unsure of how to account for boost when doing calcs. I guessed at VE of 133% at 5# of boost. any help

Shit I'm not sure I thought the motors were the same, we're looking at a 2017. To my knowledge they are the same as the 2nd gen tacomas.

 

Negative, Fj Cruisers and 4Runners got the upgraded V6 a few years back. I don't recall if TRD ever made a SC for them because to get the slightly higher HP numbers they increased compression, which if you Supercharge it, could cause issues

 

Ahh I did not know that, I just knew that the FJs an 4runners had SC available didn't ever look at years...

TRD was developing an Eaton TVS based supercharger for the dual VVT engine, but from what I've read they couldn't get the engine to pass Toyota reliability requirements for an OEM performance option, so they stopped R&D.

They do but only up to 09. Damn I'm legit bummed

Yeah this is part of the reason for why I went with a Tacoma the second time around and not a 4runner. I wanted Forced Induction for sure and to many of the 4runner crowd had been sitting around twiddling thumbs for years. Didn't wanna join that crowd...I still might though. The wife said I could get her a new one If I pay for it, and I'm "allowed" to put a mid travel kit on it
