I told him I wanted adjustable struts in the back as well. He probably forgot then.

No such thing as adjustable struts in the rear.

Also the Tacoma has no struts, and that second gen used kit for $700 would not be a good buy for a third gen truck IMO.

I don't really think it's necessary to list why. I'm not knocking your stuff. I am just saying for the investment there are better options for his third gen than used second gen parts.

Shocks for the rear then. I don't want spacers in the rear

The rear will need to be an AAL or block. Blocks are the cheapest and worst option as far as performance goes, a 3 leaf progressive AAL is a good option if you want to maintain a reasonably comfortable ride and don't have a constant load (like a camper shell) or don't tow or haul good sized loads on a regular basis.

If you do, a single leaf AAL is stronger and less costly. It does have a stiffer unloaded ride compared to the 3 leaf progressive, which is the only benefit of that particular style AAL.

In the headstrong cart I posted earlier, the add-a-leaf is included. The quote you have from the shop is for rear blocks. Shocks provide no lift.

@HeadStrong Off-Road sells both and it might be worth having a PM with Marie about some different options you have and what your needs are.

Based on the adjustable rear strut comment, I would really genuinely consider ordering some parts and getting together with a local who can help install them and show you some stuff about your truck. You'll be more satisfied, have spent less money for better parts, and have a good idea of how they all work together.

i guess the toytec coilovers are $800 brand new alone with out shipping my kit comes with the front coilovers rear 5100's and Icon AAL you can piece that together separately its $1200+ if $700 is a bad investment i guess the toytec kit is a nice kit you see nothing but great reviews on them its definitely way better than the leveling kit hes looking at

    All I hear is whining.

That system is for a second gen. OP has a third gen.

Your kit is not ideal for him regardless of your sensitivity about why I suggested he ignore it.

That's not true. The third gens use a higher spring rate, among other things.

Not true. They're softer than a third gen OEM coil.

Why is this thread about your shit for sale now instead of OP asking questions?Go make a sale thread somewhere.

You can get the same shocks for $330. You don't need extended U bolts for a single leaf AAL, and you don't need extended brake lines or a diff drop.

You could buy the shocks and AAL for under $450 shipped to your door.
