10/15/2016 South Bay Meet and Drive to Buzzard Lagoon

Well hopefully you get one soon and you can join us.

 

Alright everyone, looks like we have 16 vehicles (including those +1 drivers) confirmed. If we get even ten trucks out there, it's gonna be a good drive!

 

I'm out of town that weekend too.
I might be heading up to slick rock for that weekend. It's either that or Downieville. I'm camping with some friends who don't have trucks. If we go to the Slick Rock area I might take the motorcycle so I don't have to deal with traffic as much.

 

Whats up guys, I've driven that road a few times lately since I live so close. Just a heads up I think it turns into a private road through winter (starting in October). Plus the locals that live out there are either tweakers or rich yuppies, neither of which like seeing strangers around. I'm not saying don't drive it at all, but be ready for people to stop and tell you about how you aren't supposed to be there.
Don't worry about it though, it would take way too long for cops to come out and cite anyone anyway. Safe Travels!

 

Thanks for the tip! I'm aware that buzzard is "private" during the winter. I still see a lot of mountain bikers so I think we're good. The residents even waved at me when I drove it last December. The worst they can do is ask us to leave. Are you gonna be joining us?

 

I would but my weekend is all booked up. I don't want to miss the next drive though! It's gonna be nice and muddy through the weekend

 

We have a Pismo beach trip next Saturday as well.

Yep Gilroy is the main meeting point. All peninsula and City folks can meet up there and Drive down together
