Cell reception is spotty up there, especially in the campground. I usually don't have a signal in the campground, but oddly enough I get one about half a mile further in on trail 10. From there it's hit or miss.

Okay, I think I've got the attendance list up to date now with the recent additions and subtractions. Let me know if I overlooked something.

Damn. I don't have much use for a CB unless I were to start coming to these events frequently. I never run dogs though and I'm not a trucker. Lol

A CB is a very nice option for trail rides. So is GPS.

I don't know what any other groups have planned, but I'll be crossing trail 13 and trail 11 frequently. That might be a good place to catch us if you know what trail we're on.

I really only use my cb for the meets. Which i attend at least 4 a year. Although it does come in handy on road trips if there is bad traffic. I just find the truckers talking about what the jam up is and what lane might be best.

    On groups...

Friday, I was thinking we wouldn't worry so much about groups. We'd just do an afternoon and night ride with whoever wants to come.

Saturday during the day, we will be splitting into groups because anything over 6-8 trucks tends to be kind of a pain.

My group on Saturday will consist of the following folks:

    1. @Taco No Baka
    2. @allenfab
    3. @Rattletrap66
    4. @Sholden223
    5. @Timbo89
    6. @michaelrussell (who by popular request will be bringing up the rear guard position...)

We might include a couple others (possibly @Jystr and @TAZ2014Taco if they are interested), but there are prerequisites: 4WDs on at least 33s, 2WDs on at least 35s, be willing to take pin striping and not afraid to go moderately quickly (30-45mph) down smaller trails. Personally, I don't really like being exclusive like this, but this is sort of an experiment to see how it will work out.

I would suggest @mosquitoTaco for a leader for another group. He's been out there a few times so he should know most of the interesting spots and since his new rig is mostly stock, he'd be a good choice to lead some of the less built-up Tacos. @Nived9559 has been out there a few times as well so he should be familiar with it if he wants to lead a group.

If everyone else besides my group want to go around in one big group, that works too. I want everyone to have fun and for the more experienced folks to watch out for the new people; today's newb is potentially tomorrow's hardcore enthusiast if they have a good time and learn things. ;) Unfortunately, I also know that a lot of folks like to watch the hardcore rigs playing, but with the way the FWC is getting stupid about keeping us out of the pits and other play areas that really allow people to watch the fun, there's really not much to see when you're 10 trucks back from the front of the pack.

At any rate, there will be another night run on Saturday night that will include anyone that wants to come along.

Sunday's expedition up to Redrock will also be all-inclusive for those that want to go. It could even turn out to be a bust since we have no first-hand intel on the area and even the second-hand stuff is kind of out of date. For all we know it could be fenced off and/or posted No Trespassing. It's worth checking out though, IMHO.

If we're going to split up Saturday, we should at least rally up to get a group pic at some point. Maybe lunchtime?

    So where's a fun question:

Are most people camping out on the ground or are they bringing a RTT? I'd like to run the trails without my tent or rack but at the same time want to sleep in the RTT lol

Haha, that sounds like a problem @Sholden223 might have as well, even though he was one of the main advocates of the invitation-only group. :D

Also, I'm game to run with that first group. If I need help or some insight I'll ask. First time there though so that is my only caveat.

It's really a pretty tame place. I've seen pics of you doing more serious stuff than you'll likely find at Citrus, so you'll be fine.

Haha, no promises there. That is one of the things that could happen out there, but if it does, then you only have yourself to blame for driving into it. Most of those spots can be bypassed. :D
