Well some people call the rims with circles around them "bullet hole" rims. I guess that would work.

Double negative so they would cancel each other out

Has to be wheels or tires, not both.

I think the FJ steelie with a 255 tire would fit the bill just fine.

16 or 17" wheels are the way to go. Anything larger will look like bro-dozer wheels on a tacoma. If the tire aspect ratio is less than 70 it doesn't belong on a taco.

seriously what in the actual fuck are tactical wheels?
do they have flashlights built into them?
do they have some special purpose? Do they suddenly convert to skis for driving in snow?
Can they do some sort of fancy tactical roll sideways?

Most of the actual tactical types I know, (law enforcement and specwar) are pretty low key, they're don't WANT to be seen as standing out in a crowd.

OP, I get what you're saying. You want something that is going to look badass if you were to go out to the desert and go shooting. I went with the TRD Pro 4runner wheels because it gave me the look I wanted, similar to what I think you are looking for.

Honestly you wont achieve this with 20s. They just arent made to look good on our truck. You need to stick to the 16-18 range and even 18 is pushing it. It all depends on the tire you are putting on.

    Check out these

Fuel Recoil 17 x 8.5 - These are the rims I initially wanted but the TRD Pro rims had a similar look for a much lesser price.
    Fuel_Recoil_Wrangler_1.jpg

    Fuel Vector 17 x 8.5
    Fuel_Vector-Tacoma1.jpg

    Mickey Thompson Classic III 17 x 9
Mickey Thompson Classic II - 1279431 - Black Jeep Wrangler JK Rear.jpg

and then there is what everyone (including myself) is doing 4runner TRD Pro wheels
    IMG_0531.jpg

Bigger rims and a low profile tire look good (if dont correctly) on sports/luxury cars. With SUVs and Trucks, we need a decent size (16-18) rim with a big fatty tire to give us the aggressive look most of us want.

Tossing dubs on, well there is a place for that on "street trucks" but you most certainly wont find the advice here for that.
