Any MLB fans here???

Well, even though our Royals aren't in it [as posted before, I can say "our Royals" with a straight face because the wife and I suffered through all the dark years], just as a fan of baseball, that Cubs/Giants game last night was a classic. I only favor the Cubs purely because of their history - otherwise don't care much. Kind of rooting for Cleveland since they kicked our ass badly in the AL Central plus it would be more than a little cool to see poor Cleveland win NBA and MLB championships in the same year. Surely, even the hater haters could see at least some cool in that . . . [??] Or not . . . [??]

Congratulations to the Cubs. Hellova series. They have some great young talent. Maybe the Giants can find some talent of their won next year, for the bullpen. What a collapse. Just like the second half of the season. Was hoping for a Giants Dodgers Pennant series. Oh well. Go Cubs.

Ffffuuuu that really pissed me off last night. Romo is a joke and should be cut for laughing about being taken out. Bullpen gave the game away after a hard fought 8 innings.

 

You shouldn't be pissed. The bullpen has been doing this for two months. It was inevitable, sadly. I knew a one run lead was weak. Even a two run lead. They had three. But when you can't make a pitch, expect poor results. I'm a Giants fan. 50 years now. I've seen the lowest of the lows. And this ain't it. They have a good core. They'll be back in the hunt next year. They'll make another run at the Championship. It's all good. It's baseball. Greatest game ever invented.

 

It tastes like overcooked blackbird piece of crap, not like chicken at all. Congrats to the Cubs. I'll be rooting for them to finally break the curse.

 

Why even respond to such a dumbass question? If all you did was cheer for your team, there is no crow. There's only next year. A great franchise, a great fan base, a great City. The team will be fine.

 

Will be 100% completely different bullpen this offseason. Thankfully they don't need much besides a left fielder and a bullpen. Expect to overpay for Melancin

 

The eating of crow was for my even year confidence I posted yesterday. I've been a proud Giants fan since I was a kid growing up in the east bay in the seventies. I even wore my Giants shirt to work today. The Cubs are the best team in baseball right now and the Giants fought hard to try and beat them, but their bullpen woes finally bit them in these playoffs. Oh well, time to start an odd year tradition next year!

PS. Go Nats! the only thing as bad as the Giants losing is the Dodgers winning.

 

The call that allowed Odor to score in the 2015 ALDS was a good call. You're just upset about it as a Blue Jays fan, which is ridiculous because Toronto won anyway.

I'm a lifelong Blue Jays fan, and I've also played a lot of baseball. Play does not cease until the pitcher has the ball on the mound. Choo didn't interfere with the throw, which is why Odor was ruled safe. Making excuses for your team when a call doesn't go your way is bad sportsmanship.
