Dude...I'm from CA too and that is just not accurate info. Every cat in every taco in the USA is the exact same item, the trucks are manufactured to 50 state emission specs. Nothing in the system is $4500 bro...the entire system does not cost $4500. Just look it up on any Toyota dealers parts site - The manifolds ( headers w/ front cats ) are $800 & $600 and the entire Y pipe with the rear cats is only $1100 and that is straight from Toyota OE parts.

had this happen to a coworker at work while his truck was sitting in the work parking lot. Only takes seconds and it was gone. several offices even overlook the parking lot and it was so fast no one saw anything. Only 15 people at this office so not a lot of cars to look after.

Exactly. The scum bags buying the cats are as bad as the scum bags stealing them. They should be charged with knowingly buying stolen goods.

Nope, his original post a couple pages back said Taco cats were $4500...just for the two rear cats

Here is the exact quote :

"If the OP lived in California it will cost $4500 for the lower two. Thee thievs often leave the upper two because they're in so close to the block."

Checked the prices and your right. There is no special California cat. for the Tacoma. I did quote my exhaust guy on the 4500. Sorry. The Cummins across the street was 4200 for his. Maybe I heard him wrong. But there was four people waiting to get theirs done and he was just busy.

I called, the equal length only comes with the full exhaust system. It is out of stock now which is why they don't have it on the site.
