$500 Down Payment Voucher at TX State Fair (TX/Dallas buyers)

Went to the State Fair this past weekend and checked out the Toyota Truck display. They have a promotion going where you turn over your info for marketing and get a $500 voucher good toward the down payment of a Tacoma if purchased before 11/30/2016.

I've got one on order, but I don't think I can use it as it says "Must take delivery from dealer stock." Appears to be a Gulf States promotion but maybe other regions have similar rebates.

May be worth the State Fair admission if you are shopping for a Tacoma over the next couple months.

 

that was a disappointing display. The damn Pro should have been outside on display with the other tacos.

 

When your truck comes in and they call you, say o.k., I will be there in a couple days. Show up a day or two later and say you want to use the voucher. The truck is now in dealer stock because they have to receive it in although it was ordered.
Yes you ordered it, but at the time you wanted to pick it up it was on the lot in stock.

 

Ha, trust me I am still going to try to use it, no matter when my truck comes in! I don't think it hurts the dealers profit since it is a rebate from Gulf States Toyota...hopefully they feel the same way and will pass it through. I was pretty stoked when I signed up for it ($500 more off my deal, hell yeah!) but was wary of a "catch" in the fine print. Worth it for the spam call from the local dealer (the same one I already ordered my truck from actually) and a subscription to Toyota emails. I spent $100 at the fair on beer and nachos though.

Thought maybe it could help someone else out, though, if they are near Dallas. They may be doing a similar rebate at other Toyota displays/car shows.

 

As long as your truck arrives before the rebate expires you probably can use it. The dealer doesn't care, it's money from Toyota. Good luck!

 

They did have a pro outside, very back by the 4runner pro.

 

I missed the one outside, but honestly didn't spend much time there since I've already done a few test drives and I am buying one. I also told my friends I was going to get some nachos but the line was too long so I sneaked off to look at the trucks for a few minutes. I did see the display with the Pro inside.

 

the cement pro was inside on sunday. and no white one. But oh well.
