the 08 has rigids, and probably will keep them. I dont feel like cutting off a bunch of mounts or paying for more lights. If it aint broke don't fix it but Baja Designs hands down makes the best lights out there.

    wasnt referring to you..

but.. it is funny how a few years ago.. everyone was on the RI band wagon.. now its BD... next it will be Vision X or some other company.

I'm just over here with my cheapo's like... glad I havent spent money on Name Brand only to do it again... and again.

A few years ago Rigid was the best, then Vision X stepped the game up to 10w and 5w lighting and they were the best. Since then both of them have kind of remained stagnant in terms of innovation while Baja Designs has continued to develop new and better stuff that really leaves the other 2 big brands playing catch up. All 3 are solid lights, and I will always buy name brand instead of the cheap china stuff but BD is just so far ahead of the game at this point and all their lights are still made in the USA.

    For example:
    a 30" Baja Designs Onyx 6 Hi-Power is 35000 lumens-$1300
    a 30" Rigid E2 is 15,000 lumens -$1200
    a 30" Vision X Xmitter Prime is 29,000 Lumens- $1500

dont have to justify it to me man.. I know all about the lighting options out there..

I still cant justify the price.. light is better than no light, and at a 1/5th of the cost.. I cant complain.

now, if I had a #racetruck like yours and used it all the time... oh wait.. :p

I was yes but on the truck prior I had okled, but after seeing comparisons at the off road expo I like the Bajas better than the rigids, trend or not I love the bajas. Not saying anything about the stuff that's cheaper it's just what I like.
