Finally got it back from the shop! Glad to have it back. If everyone I know didn't already know, they'd never know that pesky branch assaulted my truck.

But frankly, this bedside looks better than the rest of the truck now...

I'll fix dents if they're reasonable to get out. But not only was this one not (creases and being long and thin) but it also damaged paint in a few spots. So I figured paying my deductible would well worth it.

Right now I am mostly happy just to have him back. A week without the truck seems longer than it is.

So 01-04 have the holes in the fender and bolts underneath?

Yes but they are technically plastic clips that attach the flare to the fender.

Hey fellas I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm a noob and I'm having some engine trouble. I posted about this in the NE BS thread yesterday and thought it sorted itself out, but the truck is acting up again.

So I think it was misfiring and it stalled just as I pulled on to a side road yesterday. Thing was bucking like crazy and the check engine light would come on and off while it was bucking.

The check engine light didn't say on when the keys were in the on position, but the check engine light would stay on w no keys in the ignition at all. Also, the engine temp gauge went to its max with no keys in the ignition as well. Strange..?

Well I reseated all the drivers side plug boots and one easily accesssble ignition coil on the passengers side. Truck fired right up after that.

I borrowed a fancy code reader that needs a pc to work. It can give live data and what not, but it said there wee no codes. I just ran to autozone but they said theirs wasn't working, so I've yet to try a second code reader.

On my way to autozone it misfired(?) a couple times again and I'm not sure how to go about finding what is going on.

Seems like I need to go thought the ignition system and fuel system? Is that right? Also I need to try another code reader and see if I can pull any codes?

I should use a multi meter and check the spark plug wires for correct ohm and visually inspect the spark plugs?

I had one other misfire before all this but it seemed like a one off.

Would getting electrical connections wet/muddy effect my engine like this? I went out through some seeping puddles the other weekend.

Thanks for any input. Just trying to figure out a plan of attack as this is my daily.

I'm thinking a high clearance bumper will be the solution to my dent.

I have a leak somewhere. Both driver and pass floor is wet. Windshield guy came out and removed it, said he didn't find any issues.

Other than firewall, what would cause both sides to be wet? Driver is soaked. No evidence of trail. Passenger there is a stream coming from the tip of the oh shit handle.

    3rd brake light??

Thanks for the help! Just wondering if baking the headlight just to remove the lens will chip the paint I applied it on.
