Sea Breeze ruined my life.

 

Hi Gents. Just thought I'd say hello. My previous car (still going strong and nearing 200k) is a VW golf diesel. One of the main reasons I was able to get so much out of that car was following the expert advice on the TDI club forum so I really hope this place works the same way. So far, I think it's a little nerve wracking here with all the problems. My truck works great except that it does delay when shifting from P to D. Unfortunately, it only does that like once a day first in the morning (because that makes it hard to reproduce). It's actually at One Toyota right now-they can't seem to reproduce it. They're giving me the run around of course so I had to direct them to the applicable TSB on the issue. Anyway, if that can get resolved satisfactorily, then I'll officially have no problems.

I don't know what I'm going to do with the thing, other than enjoy it and go to home depot every once in a while and maybe off road from time to time or camping. I did take it to Hollister a few weeks ago which was fun but it feels a little too new for that, but that's just me worrying about the 40 grand I guess. I think I would like to get a pro grill one of these days but maybe after the hype wears thinner.
So anyway, I live in Oakland in the not-so-ghetto-anymore ghetto of W Oakland. Just thought I'd give you all an overview. Maybe there's a kindred spirit out there . All the best.

Tail Gate Protector and Tail Gate Inner Panel (#2 and #11 on this diagram). No fasteners. First PM gets them it. GONE.
