@2ndGenJonny How are your Toyos holding up? I am asking because you have to drive into Phoenix like I do. I am going to need to get some new tires here soon.

I can speak to the size I run because it falls under the "extreme" line that Toyo makes. It has more tread depth which means more life. I had 30k on my last set before Jason got them from me and hes added another 20+. My 2 rears that ive had for a year now barely show any real tread wear. They are heavy, but what E rated tire isnt?

I still say its the best damn AT for the price. You cannot beat 220$ for a 34" tire that lasts 50k+.
They also perform awesome out here in our climate and terrain. I will say once you get up in the 40k range you will start to see it on the outside lugs. They will chunk at that point but this is due to the lug design and siping. I feel thats where the MT and RT have the ATII beat. The price always brings me back to the ATII every time though.

The only other tire I would try at this point is the ST Maxx, but at 260 a tire i still go back to the ATII

So looking at Toyo's website the 285/75r16, what I am running, doesn't come in the Extreme. But they do have a 295/75r16 or a 315/75r16 in the Extreme versions. I need to figure out which size I want and then pull the trigger.

Any preference on the size? What kind of gearing did you have?

Jon actually got me into my first set of tires around a year ago with the ATIIs. I bought them in a 31x10.5x15 for my last truck. The ended up doing fantasting in the terrain and lasting a long time before I sold them. I had around 20k miles on them and then sold them. Afaik they're still doing fantastic on another friends truck. Possibly going back to them if I don't decide the RT.

The 295 or 315 are going to be wide. Going to be needing some clearancing for sure. I say go with the 34-35 and pick up that extra height. When youre ready to pull the trigger ill help you as well.

I was not impressed with the 33k I got from my ATII's... that, and their performance in rain/snow SUCKS.

I picked up my Coopers for 240 a tire. Hopefully I will get better mileage out of these, and I am very interested to see how they do in the snow this winter.

Really curious to see how they do. Would you say that youre doing as many rolling burnouts as you did when you 1st got the SC?

I averaged 21 mpg on a tank coming home from Colorado.

So which one of you is going to manual swap first?

hahaha.. that was definitely a factor.. but even then, it wasnt enough to justify 33k IMO. they did get used, quiet often, so I gotta take it for what its worth ya know.

I have definitely been taking care of these more tho..

If they came in a 295 I would try them out.
