Post up in NorCal where I linked before. They just had a mod day a few weeks back and I haven't seen a post about a new one.. but seems like there is one every other month or thereabouts.

    What's your budget?

$500 in parts makes a decent sub 2" lift.

For under $500 you can do 5100s front and rear with an AAL (single or progressive, whichever best fits your needs).

For around $1k, the OME setup linked by @EDDO on the first page (I think) is a good setup also.

My first suspension lift was 5100s and a 3 leaf AAL, my second and current is full OME.. both are good options at their price points.

@HeadStrong Off-Road is the place to buy - tell her I sent you and she'll take care of you.

do you like the OME better than the billies? I was thinking about the OME coz its already assembled and ready to install.

It's not hard to swap coils, I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor by any means, especially if you're looking to get it installed at a mod day where there are lots of experienced guys and sometimes a legit coil compressor to use.

I like the OME better overall, but don't notice much benefit of having OME shocks over 5100s. When these need replacing I'll likely go back to 5100s in the front and whatever the equivalent extended length shock is in the rear, I think a B110.

can i just get away by just installing the billies using the stock springs or is it a must to have springs like OME885?

Most people who run 5100s use stock coils. It's fine. Lift coils will provide a better ride quality, but some would rather have the $180 in their pocket instead.
