exhaust mod 4 budbuilt skids ?

I was wondering what peopled payed to have the exhaust rerouted so the skids sit flat?

 

I'd say modifying the cross member is a much harder task than re-routing the exhaust, unless someone sells a replacement?

Just wondering what the muffler shop charged?
I am planning on pulling my diff drop and rerouting my exhaust so the skids fit perfect and I don't loose that inch of clearance.

 

Didn't realize that the exhaust hangs down THAT low on a V6. On the I4 it's all above the main frame rails

 

Most shops would prob charge 60-100$ to move the pipe.

 

Yeah...Some 10lbs brain at Toyota put the crossover from the left side bank UNDER the trans case- SO you need to space the skids down to fit them....or get that pipe cut out and welded around the end of the t-case.

And I can't see it costing more than 100 bones- What does it matter tho- Go get it done- Totally worth it!!

thats what i need to do even with the spacer the skid still touches the pipe

 

It ran me about 160 it would have been less but it took the welder a little longer to get everything tight.

Ya just got my skids on yesterday and Im get a vibe from the pipe hitting the skid.

 

Did you install the spacer?

 

Ya the spacer is in there I gotta get under there tmrw and find out whats up. It sounds like the exhaust when you rev the truck it happens when its in park too.

 

Hawtness- Did you get that done at a local shop or a chain type place??

 

Might want to lookin into doin the exhaust crossover if it keeps up with it

I got it done at a local shop were I get all my exhaust work done

 

It wasnt solid it looped into the rubber mount there, Just looks like its solid in the pic.

 

Check your diff drop that where i was getting my rattle.
