... what do you guys think of them. Especially those that have had the truck over a year? I'm 1400 miles in and can already see them aging... fading in the sun maybe. They don't seem quite as nice at the second gen TRD seats? And what's the deal with the material - are they supposed to be water and stain proof?

Would love a one year review of them from someone.

    Maybe it's seat cover time.

So far, I am not a fan. The material seems cheap.

6 months and no real complaints, mine still look as good as they did the day I bought it other than the cheese ball pattern that's already been mentioned. They feel and look the same as the seats in my second gen just covered in a different fabric. Long road trips don't hve my back aching like it would in my wifes old Runner.

I put quality seat covers on mine right off the bat. Can't even tell they are seat covers. Problem solved.

North West Seat Covers in Vancouver BC. One of the people on the phones even came out, to look at my truck colour scheme to help me decide on style and colours. Custom made for my truck. Very pleased with the results.

As soon as my truck arrives I plan on switching to heated/cooled leather seats. Not sure color/style yet,
seen a few nice ones tho.

How do you plan on adding cooling to your seats?
I'm aware of adding heaters, but coolers too?

I am happy with mine at 6 months and 8,000 miles. I have found them comfortable but I haven't done an epic road trip yet. I will eventually replace them with Katzkin leather when they are dirty and worn out enough to justify the expense.

You can cut the foam and put a fan in. It's a lot of work and you need perforated leather to really make it somewhat work. Plus the seat heaters have to be different because they too need to have holes so the air can bypass through the heater pads as they will be on top of the fan and foam. I don't think anyone makes a combo kit so you would have to buy separate kits. I don't think this know knows what's involved and he probably thinks he's just gonna throw some f150 seats in and it's gonna work

Pretty much any place that does leather seat covers do it. Just leather, or add heat or go with both heat and cool. They make one small hole in the padding and run thin duct lines. The seat does have to perforated.

I've had mine for over a year now and the seats are holding up pretty well. I just wish they were a bit squishier.

My TRD OffRoad is 11 months old with almost 25K miles including a 2-way cross country trip with rain, dirt roads, and camping (i.e. long days behind the wheel plus dirty people and things in and out of the truck every day). I'd say they're holding up OK, but I too am worried about the long run. I bought some cheap slip-on covers to use after mountain bike rides but I'm thinking about full covers too. I will say that these seats are as comfortable for me, as any car or truck I've owned, though I do find the passenger seat a tad less comfortable than the driver's seat with lumbar cranked up. I did raise the back of both seats about 1/2" which I think helped.
