I was giving the 4R Pro serious consideration...No more 16's left within a reasonable distance, and not having a bed is something I couldn't give up.
It does look great in cement also.

Congrats on that Tacoma Pro. I won't be giving up my '16 Tacoma OR in the event this '174R Pro comes thru. I'm very happy with it.

I was thinking about doing the same thing when I get mines. Just because I like those wheels for the matte finish.

Supposed to get mine next week. I already know what numbers work for me. And i'm prepared to walk away. I love my current Taco anyway. It's the current model year...there is no real shortage. Let the truck go...or threaten to...and I bet you get it at MSRP.

I was quoted for msrp and put 5k down. I hope they don't try and Jack up the price on me. Also the manager said 8 weeks, but I doubt it will be since after weeks the only thing I heard was that the truck is queued. If the cement trd t4r releases and I'm still waiting for the truck I'll most likely switch.

So Toyota offers a trim and and limits the quantities. What a bunch of crap. I guess things have changed since I bought the Baja. Dealer had no problem with ordering me a Baja if the could not locate one in inventory.

Well did you order your Baja or find one in inventory? You do know the Baja package was made in limited quantiles as well....This is nothing new...

I was fortunate to be able to work with the top sales dude at a dealer and he found me one and offered to me at a great price. I really did not want the decals but I would have had to place an order to delete them. I was negotiating with 2 dealers and both were talking about ordering before the one I bought became available. I was aware that the Baja also had limited production and that is why I am surprised that the Pros both Tacoma and Tundra seem to so difficult to order. Not sure how long the Tundra Pro has been in production but I know the Gen 3 Tacoma is new for 2017. I attribute some of the hype to the fact that it is brand new. I am hoping that things loosen up a little next year for the Tundras. Predictions are for a real softening in the new vehicle markets.

Mine finally came in the day before yesterday. Pro in super white with 6MT. Big thanks to Evan at Cabe Toyota in Long Beach for making it happen. Apparently MT's are pretty rare on the west coast.

So far I love everything about this truck. I'm coming from a 2012 Subaru STI (hatch) so the ride and fit/finish is definitely an upgrade. The exhaust is also louder than than my old STI stock exhaust.

The exhaust is louder? Wow... I had a 2012 STi as well, and it was the loudest vehicle I've ever had. I'm kinda stoked if the exhaust on the TRD Pro is more aggressively tuned than that.

Went to another dealer today. Going back tomorrow to see what price he can order one and if we can make a deal, I'll put the deposit down. He's saying 6-8 weeks but he's seen them come in sooner. They are the #1 dealer in my area, so we shall see. In other news, the one that has the $3k mark up called me and wants me to come in and "see what they can do." Uh huh. I guess they thought they'd have sold it by now.

Oh, and I built a Tundra TRD Pro on Toyota.com - in cement, with a bunch of options, and even with a delivery, processing and handling fee of $1,195 - my total was only $46,056! So why would I pay that for the Tacoma?

I started conversing with him 2-1/2 months before I took delivery. The conversation started over a ridiculous offer his dealership sent me on my Prerunner. I knew it was just a kind of mass mailing thing but it had my VIN and the way it was worded they knew my truck. Offer was like 65% of value. It just struck a cord and really pissed me off. After I decided what I wanted to buy he had it located and at the dealership in less than a week. It helped that the truck was only a few hours south.

Always remember...despite what any dealer tells you, your money (or good credit) is what is in demand here, not the truck. There is a factory somewhere that is cranking them out as fast as they can build them. Toyota can have them just rear-ending one another at the end of the tunnel?!!

2017...new model year...new package...yes, it is a great truck. I'm waiting for one too. But I'll let the first one go and get back on the list for one in December or January. Doubt they can charge a premium over MSRP in a couple of months. 60-90 days to save $$$. It is up to you, the consumer. But don't let them make you think you're looking at the last one. Pretty soon, the "'18's will be right around the corner."

If you want more room then get the tundra. Tacoma has always been able to hold value better the tundras. I had a tundra and it was a great truck but now I'm teaching my daughter how to drive so Tacoma fits the bill
