OK yall, i havent been on this forum too long, however i have been in contact with a rep from TRD headquarters in NC and they are wanting to know if there is a real demand for TRD parts for the 4cyl. 5 lug and 6. I know i like the 4 cyl for the gas mileage, but i like the option of adding the extra power to an underdog truck. Am I the only one??? I will share the good opinions with them. thanks

I'm pretty sure you are talking about accessories for the 4 bangers right??

Cuz i would love to see the reg cabs 4x4 come with a locker in the rear, like the TRD Offroad

if they made anything for the 4 bangers, i would be happy!! everything is for the 6. such as a short throw shifter, intake, headers, things of that sort that wont void my newly purchased trucks warranty. tell them definitely to make some stuff.

You could always go with some URD stuff. In order to void the warranty, the dealer would have to prove that the aftermarket part was the cause of the issue. Which is pretty hard to do.

Supercharger and locker would be sweet. Do they already make intake, exhaust, or cams? Who do we call to petition for the TRD parts?

I really don't understand the point of a supercharger for the 4cyl. That would give you the power of a V6 possibly but it would also give you the miliage of a V6. If the supercharger costs about the same as the V6 supercharger 4000+ install, you might as well just buy a V6 to begin with right? But yes I would love to see more TRD parts for the 4cyl.

well, after a good few weeks of talking to them over at toyota, not a chance in the world to get performance parts period for the 2.4/2.7 due to "increasing needs to manufacture and supply vehicles to the us economy with less environmental impact, and more utility". looks like URD and engine swaps are the way to go :)........ THIS SUCKS!!
