yea I have a feeling the retired guy i work with just doesn't think I'd do good anyways. He's an ass that way, but I still like him, haha.
My mile is still like 14min, lol. I despise running - that's why it's taken me so long to get my shit together. This year has seen a lot of progress though.

I'd love to be a homicide detective. If I had it to do over again, that's what I'd be.

I use to work mornings and when I switched to graveyard I realized what I have been missing all these years... no big bosses or the 10 supervisors watching over your back on everything you do. We have a total of 6 people in my department and it's pretty much chill:thumbsup:

Yes that is one of the definite plus sides I enjoy myself. Our department is tiny too. Actually understaffed at the moment. Which means my supervisor has been working third with us (usually on a second swing shift). Though he's a giant man child so I don't have to worry about him ever being up my ass about anything. lol
The guy sits in the office all night on message boards and watching law and order.

I need out of this place and into a real job before i die of complete boredom. The pay and benefits, and my new truck loan are the only things keeping me here.

Midnight shift in a nutshell. Though I'm "not allowed" to pull people over for traffic violations. Maybe if they hit someone, lols.

Nights like tonight where I'm on a short turnaround for my next shift I'm tempted to pop the roof top tent in the back lot & catch some Z's instead of the sketchy ass tired drive home.

ya, but you have to meet the minimum requirements first. Which I'm still working toward.

I'd go for it. I've had too many close calls when I had a long drive home. Thankfully like 5 minutes from work these days.

We'll see how I feel in four hours when I'm cut loose. I'm luckily only 12mins from work with no traffuck.

Brilliant! We've done similar things here with the forklifts. races, jousting, etc.. debauchery

ours is a little different, to get in the academy you have to do the state required at half time. They run you in the academy daily and at the end you take the state written test then you do the full physical requirement which you just completed daily for three months.

Maybe I should move to NC, haha.

City or County I still have a ways to go. Though I don't believe they adhere to the bmi too much. A friend of mine used to be just a bit smaller than me and only lost 40lbs and is in the academy now. I just got to keep working at it.
