    Video of airbox will have to wait. Last night I finished my drive from Cali to N.Y.. About 400 miles left of the drive started having multiple cylinder misfires (generic code) at one point I got it to say cylinder 2,6. . If I shut the truck off and turned it back on it would go outta limp mode and I could continue to drive. Would only happen in 5th gear. So higher load. Thoughts? Bad gas? Tossed some dry gas in finally with ten miles left of the trip and haven't pushed into boost to see if it's corrected itself yet. Bad rear driver O2 sensor too (probably completely unrelated) Also I'll mention again I hydro locked this engine about 3 months/6000 miles ago as some of you probably remember

    Honestly no I didn't. Being on the road I have a small batch of tools is all. Back home now. In changing out rear driver O2 sensor. I found front oem cat to be toast. 90% clogging the pipe before the rear "cat" excessive back pressure on that side much? Could cause some issues but I don't know engines like you guys do. Would it cause misfire being this blockedScreenshot_20161012-131413.jpg ?

    A misfire can definetly cause that. I drove 500 miles on my truck like that. No misfire, very high boost reads, knocking if I wasn't careful, and huge loss of power(was limited to about 45mph uphill)

    That'd definitely cause misfires. Same on my Subi. Was a ball of cat material.....after about 190k miles. Would occasionaly bounce and block the exhaust. Misfire city like the Independence Day fireworks.

    To confirm what you're saying..ucon works with 09 and up now as long as you get the g harness?

    Quick question for you guys that monitor diagnostics in your trucks. What temp does your coolant set at? Highway I'm around 205°f and without load/at idle 195°

    Confirm with URD first. The last word I had from Gadget was that they had all the harnesses, but where getting enough made to go with any URD SC purchases, so pure UCON purchases 2009+ might be delayed until they get stock. But that was a couple months ago. I'll be shooting him an email in the next few weeks to check for myself :D

    APR, terrible business man for the Tacoma. His programming engineer, is the same doing the programming for the UCON. He is a brilliant man. Also more highly involved with OEM programming.

    Yes the UCON will now work with your vehicle. It is just currently only for sale with URD s/c's. Once all of those orders leave, sell, whichever, a large batch of UCONs will be made.

    Clogged cat will also cause your truck to run hotter. My truck runs 185-195. 205 on uphills in 100+ degree outside tempetures.

    Or had at one time??
    4.7 with a turbo
    Tundra 4.7 with a turbo are pretty quick
    They will out run a S/C 5.7 Tundra

    Thank you for the background insight on APR and their programmer, and information regarding availability of the UCON.

    Do you know what took URD so long to release the harness for the post 2008/9 Tacomas? I have a difficult time accepting that (to my recollection) the delay was due to the plugs/connections themselves. A problem with something like that should have taken weeks or months at most to solve.
