Went out to Mayfield and some other pond tonight off Alphalfa Market. I thought I got dirty. The pic says otherwise.

    Am I doing this right?
Hey guys I'm in town until Wednesday. Been on a near month long road trip and have been looking forward to reaching Bend. It'd be awesome to meet up and go wheeling
For part of a day. Let me know if any of you are into it.

If you're passing through Medford or the surrounding areas I'd be down to get together for a BS session.

Hello Benders (is that a thing? lol) my girlfriend and I are road tripping from San Diego to CVT to pick up our RTT. We will probably be dead beat tired and look for a local spot to camp after we install the roof top tent. Can anyone recommend any good spots? Will there be a lot of snow around Oct 19-23 ? Thanks in advance!

Damn! That's one long drive for an RTT. But, CVT is a great company. No snow in this area unless you plan on going to the top of the mountains. There are 2 basic terrains in this area so camping depends on what you're looking for. east of town is a lot more dry, high desert type with sage and juniper. Likely to find more lava tube caves and hot springs. More dusty roads and trails. West of town is wetter, small lakes and such, getting more in to firs and pine. Trails are more defined and technical, especially in the national forests. Both have equal camping opportunities. Both have great views of the starry nights and shooting stars.

@willie64 Thank you for the great advice. I'm definitely leaning towards the lake camping idea. Are there any lakes you recommend that I can access with my 4x4? Are camp reservations required?

Get a map, that'll be more gooder for you. Otherwise we'll be on here forever. No reservations needed, you'll be in the woods.

Bendites! Also, if you aren't already obligated to CVT, check out Freespirit Recreation. Basically the same tents, really great people to work with.

^this. Trailers caught my eye driving by last week and ended up swinging in there and bs'd with one of their guys. Their setups are sick, def. planted the seed for a future camping setup someday.

Prineville is booming right now due to Facebook server buildings and other construction. It should flatten out or even bust in in a couple years. I'm renting in Bend, the market is crazy high for buying, and I won't buy high.

Yeah but it will go down when interest rates go up so if u are planning long term payment will be about the same.
