I drove a 2015 TRDOR today and it even had a slight vibration in the 2000-2300 rpm just like my 2016. It was only about 30% ish of what I feel on mine. Was considering moving back to 2nd gen but man I'd sure be giving up a lot to mostly eliminate the vibration. It shifted less on the highway as well but at highway speeds it was right in the 2000-2300 rpm range at 70mph. Mine in 6th is about 1800 and out of the range until it shifts back into 5th.

Drove a 2017 and it felt just like mine.

Because of this stupid vibration I bought a 2012 TX Baja instead of a new 2016/2017. Zero vibrations!

Thanks for your response. I'm gonna try and live with it. Hopefully someone can find a fix for it. If I knew the flowmaster exhaust would eliminate it, I would defiantly spend the money on it. Wish you knew the member or the thread you read that in.

I drove the new Pro and could barely feel it. It was there, but less than half of what I feel in mine.

I think that rings a bell. Either he installed it or he knew someone that did that claimed it and he was supposed to meet up with them to drive it and see for himself.

@whopper said it completely went away and had it confirmed by his dealer. They apparently were reporting the findings!

I installed a magnaflow 19291, it reduced the vibration but it hasn't completely gone away. I've learned to deal with it.

I believe it's just personal experience. It's probably still there as it is there in varying degrees from truck to truck and person to person. In one person's experience, the flowmaster eliminated the vibration enough for that one person to no longer feel the vibration. but it's all subjective.

Magnaflow didn't reduce the vibes on my 1st 3rd gen. Had the rumble strip vibe below 25 develop after about 200 miles. Ended up trading it for a MT 3rd gen, started noticing the rumble strip at about 200 miles. Test drove over 4 other tacos in the process and all of them had vibes, some much worse than others.

I thought I was one of the lucky ones without the bad vibration. My 17 DCSB has only 360 miles and it's almost like the vibrations suddenly started in the last 100 miles. It's bad enough that my 9 yr old son felt it in the back seat before I ever mentioned it. Is it even worth my time taking it to the dealer? After reading through 80% of the posts here I don't have much faith in getting this issue resolved.

They prob won't do anything for you but you should take it in and open a case and get a case number with them and with Toyota , the more people with open cases the better , maybe just maybe one day , they'll realize how many people out there have this problem and they'll want to find a solution for it .

Do take it and complain to a corporate drone. That's the only for them to know. Maybe they will eventually do something about it. They are already losing sales because of this. They lost mine. I just bought a used 2nd gen.
