Have 2.5 inch spacers on front, 2 inch blocks on back. Is that enough to clear 33's? Trimming?

I ran 33 with a 2.5in and had to do some trimming. Actually did more trimming than I wanted to. Here's the old rig with 33

2.5 in front. 285/75R16. If your wheels have correct amount of backspacing shouldn't be a problem. Hammer the pinch weld a bit.

a 285 will not fit without doing some fender/pinchweld work.

    285/75/16 is nominally 32.5" - 32.8" (not a true 33")

Wheel back spacing needs be 4" (factory is 4.5")

I added an additional 1" body lift to clear 285's better...
but still had to do some inner fender work to obtain
max compression during full L 2 R steering lock.

street queens may get away with less work.

    Speaking of street queens...
    my current tires are 295/75/16
and those are a true 33" plus
and are nearer to 34" in actuality.

Mine would do better with a wheel backspaced at 3.75"
So I use a 6mm spacer behind my 4" BS'd wheel to compensate.

But even with 2.5" suspension and 1" body lift.
The 3.75" final wheel backspacing my 295's still rub slightly.

Less difficult to get the 285's to fit without rub...
but will still require some effort.

My guess is if he is running blocks and spacers he does not do much wheeling :notsure:

NOTE: spacers clear tires better than a preload/coilover lift because you loose uptravel by using them.

Even still your gona have to trim to fit those tires.

I was looking at 255/85r16 , my wheels i have now have 4.5" bs and are 16x8. I have 265/75r16 on there now with alot of free room all around them even around the UCA. Would 255s be better to look into then the 285s?

Guess I should've mentioned that these are 18in wheels with 285/65 R18. Not sure if this helps ya out much.

Ok so here is my next question since you guys have already figured out 33s and what not. The wheels i have now are 16x8 4.5" backspacing. Im running 265/75r16 with no problem at all. Would it be a better/easier fit to run 255/85r16 over the 285/75r16 ?

255/85r16s are taller and narrower than 285/75r16s even tho they are both referred to as "33s". Goes to show you what that means.

The skinnier tires are less likely to rub on the frame and UCA. Both with rub the pinch weld area. Since the 255/85r16 are a little taller, they will require a little more hammertime.

    33s on 2.5" of lift...

That looks good man, is 4.5" back spacing enough? I have 1.5" spacers but perfer not to use them unless i have to.

When I first bought my current truck, it came with a 2.5" spacer lift, 285's on 16x8 4.5BS wheels and no modification done to the pinch weld. Tires rubbed the frame at full turn. I didn't wheel it with that set up mostly b/c I just wanted the spacer lift off ASAP. On the street, it didn't rub the pinch weld. I now have CO's set around 2.5" with 33/12.5 on a 15x8 w/ 3.75BS. I haven't full stuffed it yet and haven't had any rubbing issues so far. This is with the pinch weld smashed down and some plastic and slight fender trimming. Also, has aftermarket UCA's to add more caster as well.
