I feel a bit like a broken record, but the Michelin AT2's I put on last year have been outstanding. I will buy another set when these wear out, and that is taking a long time.

I'm really happy with my BFG KO2 in 265/70R17. I chose the E rated tire but a C probably would've been adequate. The comparible size in a 16 is 265/75R16. My truck is bone stock suspension wise and I have no issues clearing them. I've had 800 miles on them now. The tires are severe weather rated and sport the mountain and snow flake symbol. This was a huge plus for me as I drive in the passes when traction devices are required. In Oregon tire chains are not required on 4wd vehicles with severe weather rated tires.

Cruising around my average is right at 17.5 to 18 MPH, about a .5 MPG drop. I did half a tank of more aggressive driving(strong head wind, 80 mph) and saw 16 mpg. I think with the heavier tires if you drive like an asshole you will see a substantial lost of fuel economy. Compared to stock my speedometer/odometer is off an almost unnoticeable 2%. In fact my speedometer was always a little high and now with the needle on 65 mph I'm actually traveling 65 mph(GPS). I'm very happy with how quiet they are. Traction in the rain is excellent.

As an added bonus they look great.

I am expecting to take a hit in MPG. This truck is new to me but I just refilled my tank after doing exclusively city driving and saw 16.3 MPG. That is on par with what I was getting in my 2002 Off Road with manual transmission.
I find I can drive this gen 2 around town with a light food and I never really need to get much above 2,000 RPM. I drive like a grandpa on the highway so hoping 19-20 MPG is attainable with new tires.

Did you get the C or E rated version?

You might do better than I since I'm a manual and have a canopy.

Not sure TBH. I will post up some pics tomorrow. I wish I had a manual transmission in my DCLB. Sucks Toyota never offered it up in this configuration.

Got them installed. They give the truck a completely different look.
